When Bale gave the order for the attack, the twenty mages didn't waste a second as they all unleashed a barrage of spells.
"Uhmm… I don't know about you two, but I think this is going to be very tricky without that kid," the wind mage muttered.
"Oh really? Are you saying we're useless without him?" the ice mage snapped.
"I didn't say that. I'm just saying the kid was really helpful—and undeniably strong," the wind mage replied.
"Just because he helped us doesn't mean he's better than us," Charlotte interjected. "I admit he's strong, but we are of noble blood. We shouldn't be relying on peasants for support."
Before any of them could respond, the incoming spells drew closer—lighting up the space with destructive brilliance.
"Water Magic! Sea Dragon's Cradle!" Charlotte called out, and in an instant, a massive sphere of water engulfed the trio, shielding them from the onslaught.
