It had been a week since the devastating incident in the town where Grey lived. The town was slowly but surely recovering. Damaged buildings were being repaired, while new ones rose in place of those that had been beyond repair.
Despite Grey's harsh rebuke of the townspeople for their sudden outpouring of gratitude, they continued to show up, offering their thanks. The constant stream of visitors only served to fuel his anger. They had been nothing but cruel and dismissive before, yet now they were desperate to praise him. He couldn't stand it.
