Elynor's expression softened at Isolde's words, a flicker of sympathy passing through his eyes. He sighed, releasing her chin and stepping back slightly to give her some space. "Very well, Isolde. I will refrain from reporting this but...please if you find out anything. Let me know."
Isolde nodded, a determined set to her jaw, she awkwardly was waiting for his dismissal when he continued, "As for the investigation into you, I'll make sure they don't bother you anymore. Don't worry about it just continue studying as you always do and...." Elynor trailed off, his gaze drifting over to the window. The moonlight spilled in, casting long shadows across the room. Isolde watched him, noting the tension in his shoulders, and the tightness around his eyes. She wondered what thoughts were running through his mind, what secrets he kept hidden behind that enigmatic facade.
