Chapter 89 - THE UNTAMED LAND'S GATHERING

The land was untamed, raw with power, a place where the elements surged freely without restraint. Towering trees with crystalline veins pulsed with unstable energy, their leaves flickering between hues of fire, ice, and lightning.

Rivers of liquefied essence carved through the terrain, glowing with an intensity that made the air itself hum. The wind howled, not as a mere current of air, but as a force of nature, shifting between scorching heat, bone-chilling frost, and crackling electricity.

This was no ordinary forest. It was new, unrefined, its power still forming, still volatile. The very ground pulsed in rhythm with the chaotic forces surging through it, resisting all but the strongest. Spirit beasts below a hundred thousand years could not survive here. The energy was too pure, too wild—too much. To them, it would be poison, a flood of raw power that would burn their bodies from within before they could ever hope to refine it.

But to those gathered here today, this place was a paradise.

At the heart of the land, on an elevated plateau of smooth, obsidian-like stone, Di Tian stood at the center of it all. His massive black-scaled body, lined with golden veins of draconic power, radiated an aura that once commanded all spirit beasts beneath the heavens. His golden eyes gleamed as he surveyed the gathering, his stance regal yet steady. For hundreds of thousands of years, he had been their leader, their ruler. Yet today, he stood not alone.

Coiled beside him, resting in eerie stillness, was a being beyond mortal comprehension—Heng Kong, the Void Abyss Dragon King.

His midnight-black scales swallowed all light, a living abyss upon the world, yet through them ran luminous cerulean patterns, like cracks in reality where the essence of space itself bled through. Each pulse of blue radiance rippled unnaturally, bending the world around him, as if his mere presence distorted the laws of existence. His form was immense, so vast that his coiled body stretched beyond what the eye could fully perceive, sometimes shifting, sometimes flickering—never quite fully here, yet always present.

His eyes were endless wells of deep blue, like the night sky scattered with countless stars, swirling with the power of a cosmic storm. When he moved—if such a thing could be called movement—it was as though space itself folded, shortening the distance between one moment and the next. His wings, vast and ethereal, shimmered like the event horizon of a collapsing star, flickering between solid mass and pure void.

And before them, gathered in quiet reverence, were the greatest spirit beasts of this era.

Bi Ji, the Emerald Swan, stood in serene grace, her emerald-feathered wings folded neatly at her sides. The gentle aura of healing she naturally exuded flickered slightly in this chaotic land, struggling against the wild energy surrounding her.

Beside her, Zi Ji, the Abyss Demon Dragon, lay coiled, her sleek violet body shimmering as her sharp, predatory gaze flickered between the others. She was a beast of speed and lethality, a true hunter, yet even she recognized the sheer power in their midst.

The Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear stood like a living mountain, its golden fur reflecting the unstable light of the forest. It flexed its massive claws—each one long enough to cleave through mountains—but its usual aggression was tempered by understanding. Strength meant nothing before absolute power.

Nearby, the Myriad Demon King hovered, its shifting mass of darkness writhing and pulsing, dozens of shadowy faces flickering in and out of existence as it observed the meeting in eerie silence.

Above them, the Ironback Dragon Eagle soared, its metallic wings cutting through the air effortlessly, while the Titan Thunder Eagle crackled with arcs of lightning, each flicker of energy answering the unstable fluctuations of the world around them.

And then, stepping forward with quiet yet undeniable presence, was Jin Ni, the Golden Linger.

Unlike the dragons and titans gathered around her, Jin Ni did not radiate overwhelming physical might. Yet, as she walked, she left behind trails of golden light, her very presence exuding an air of nobility. Standing at seven meters tall, her form resembled that of a great tiger, but her fur was longer, its golden strands flowing like liquid sunlight. Each movement was fluid, effortless, and the large "King" character upon her forehead only solidified her regal presence.

Her dark brown eyes, shimmering with golden light at their depths, were calm, wise, and unreadable.

The energy of the forest raged, shifting between destruction and rebirth, yet within this clearing, there was only stillness.

Ditian looked at the divine ranked dragon king infornt of him and said," Thank you Void dragon king, for protecting our spirit beasts race."

Heng Kong, smiled and answered," It's alright, besides you paid the protection fee, the runes for my entire clan, as long as they have teir-9 rank strength( which is titled douluo rank)."

Ditian smiled. Just as his lord woke up he immediately told him about the sneak attack by the federation on spirit beasts. He gave me direct orders to contact Void Abyss Dragon race and offer them runes in exchange for protection of spirit beasts against large scale attack.

Heng Kong's deep blue eyes flickered with cosmic light as he studied the spirit beasts gathered before him. His presence was not one of dominance but inevitability. Where he existed, space itself obeyed his will. And now, the fate of the spirit beast race was woven into his clan's influence.

"The terms have been met," Heng Kong rumbled, his voice layered, as if spoken across multiple dimensions at once. "The Void Abyss Dragons will uphold our end. So long as the Federation does not field a god-rank being against you, we will annihilate any large-scale assault that comes your way."

Di Tian nodded, his golden eyes gleaming. "That is all we ask."

The other spirit beasts, though powerful in their own right, understood the sheer weight of this agreement. The Void Abyss Dragon Clan was not just a powerful lineage; they were an anomaly, a race that existed in the threshold between reality and void. Their abilities were nearly impossible to counter, their existence defying conventional means of attack.

Zi Ji, the Abyss Demon Dragon, flicked her tail, her violet eyes narrowing. "And what if they escalate? The Federation is reckless. They may send a god-rank being despite the consequences."

Heng Kong's vast wings shimmered, his form flickering between states of being. "Then we will adapt." His deep blue eyes locked onto Di Tian's. "But that would require another price."

Di Tian exhaled. "Understood. But if it comes to that, we will negotiate further."

Bi Ji, the Emerald Swan, finally spoke, her voice like a soothing melody. "This agreement is the best course for our people. It ensures we will not be wiped out, and the Federation will hesitate to act rashly if they fear the retaliation of the Void Abyss Dragons."

The Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear let out a deep rumble, its golden eyes flickering. "If war comes, I want to be on the front lines."

"Your strength will be needed," Di Tian acknowledged. "But for now, our priority is survival. The Federation's fear of spirit beasts will only grow as more of us begin to ascend. We must prepare, not just for war, but for the inevitable shifts in power."

Jin Ni, the Golden Linger, stepped forward, her golden fur glowing with divine light. "This land," she said, her voice carrying the weight of wisdom, "is both a sanctuary and a challenge. It will forge the future of our kind. But we must be careful. The Federation's paranoia will only deepen if they learn what we are capable of."

Her dark brown eyes locked onto Heng Kong's starry gaze. "And I suspect they will."

Heng Kong let out a low, amused chuckle. "Oh, they will. Fear makes mortals act foolishly."

Di Tian's expression remained unreadable, but his mind was already at work. The Federation had underestimated them once. They would not make that mistake again. But by the time they truly understood, it would already be too late.

With the protection of the Void Abyss Dragons secured, the spirit beast race had taken the first step toward a new era.

And the world would soon feel the consequences.
