-This has to be some kind of mistake.
Iliana Gasped, after reading the results of the scan for the fourth time.
-Then why don't you repeat the scan?
Sarill suggested.
The former maid/ slave barely understood the results, but it was better now than when she was woken up.
Back then she could not understand them at all, but from the moment, Andrew got her an education module, she spent most of her time studying.
The last few days showed her just how far behind everyone she was in education, and she was determined to catch up to them.
Jalina was no different and the two of them often studied together.
Hearing Sarill's suggestion, Ilia nodded and activated the scanner again, hoping that the results were just a glitch.
A few moments later, the results were displayed and they were identical, to the previous ones.
The results showed clearly, that Aelita's body not only adapted to Human DNA but was completely rebuilt.
Her bone and muscle density was even higher than Andrew's, and her brain activity almost doubled.
The immune system became much more efficient and basically every part of her body was upgraded to a level that surpassed everyone, Iliana had ever known.
-I have no idea how this happened, but It seems that she went through accelerated evolution.
The doctor said, still trying to figure out what was going on.
From the medical point of view, it was impossible, but she had witnessed it herself and she still had a hard time believing what she was seeing.
While Iliana was shocked at Aelita's transformation, there was someone even more shocked than she was, and that was Andrew.
He had no idea what was going on at the moment.
The last thing he remembered was Aelita's eyes glowing green and then he was suddenly here.
Where was here?
That was a good question, for which he didn't have an answer at the moment.
The only thing he knew for sure, was that he was not on the station and his clothes had changed.
-Don't tell me that I kicked the bucket.
He murmured to himself while looking around the white room he was in.
-You don't need to worry, you haven't died.
-Who are you?
Andrew asked looking around, trying to find the source of the voice, only to realize that it came from within his head.
Suddenly an alien woman materialized from thin air.
-I am Amerin, the great seer of the Cherin.
The woman introduced herself, but Andrew barely registered her words as his jaw hit the floor.
The Alien looked very similar to Aelita after the metamorphosis.
-Where are we? and Why did you bring me here?
The human asked after he got over the surprise.
-We are in your mind and I brought you here to see, who was it that triggered the first evolution of Cherin in eons.
The woman said with a calm smile.
Andrew was once again shocked at what he just heard.
-I never suspected that it would be a human, who triggered the evolution, if this doesn't prove that fate exists I dont know what will.
She said while shaking her head with a humorless chuckle.
-What do you mean?
Andrew asked once he regained his composure.
-You will know soon enough.
For now, we need to ensure that both of you survive.
She said while raising her hand and touching Andrew's forehead with her finger.
Before he could even say anything he screamed in pain.
He felt like his brain was about to explode out of his skull.
Fortunately, it only lasted for a moment before she took her hand away.
-What have you done to me?
Andrew gasped, once the pain subsided enough for him to think again.
-I forcibly unlocked some of your potential.
Amerin said while looking at him and nodding approvingly.
-It seems, that both Aelita's and your people have regressed on the evolutionary path, and there is not enough time to let you regain your abilities naturally.
She sighed.
-I don't understand.
He said.
-You will understand in time.
She said cryptically.
-Can't you just explain what's going on?
Andrew was beginning to lose his patience with this whole thing and the headache she had served him, didn't help in keeping himself calm.
-There will come a time when everything shall be revealed, but until then you need to be patient.
She said while smiling.
This irritated the human even more as he didn't like being left in the dark.
He opened his mouth to argue but was stopped by her raised hand.
-Right now, your main focus should be on survival and becoming as powerful as possible.
The alien said, while her body began to disappear.
-My time is almost up, I have done what I could for now, the rest is up to you.
If the two of you manage to survive the upcoming dangers, we shall meet again.
She said while her body was almost invisible now.
-Oh and tell Aelita that I approve, she will know what it means.
Amerin said right before disappearing.
Andrew could have sworn that he saw a mischievous smile on her lips and she even winked at him before she vanished leaving him baffled once again.
The white room around him also started to disappear soon after Amerin.
It vanished, bit by bit, until there was nothing left.
At that moment Andrew opened his eyes and sat up while gasping for Air.
He was back in the medical module and was lying on the scanner's table.
-Are you alright?
Three voices asked, seeing him open his eyes, but before he could say anything, his eyelids felt like they were too heavy for him to keep them open and soon he fell asleep, despite his best efforts to keep them open.
The last thing that he saw was the worried face of Aelita standing over him along with Iliana and Sarill.
Ilia immediately fired up the scanner and to her relief, it showed that he was just sleeping.
However, it also showed a heightened metabolism and increased brain activity.
-What is going on here?
The doctor asked, looking at Aelita, who just shrugged.
-I have no clue, but if I had to guess, then it has to have something to do with Amerin.
The newly evolved Cherin said calmly.
Ever since she had woken up, she was worried sick about Andrew and felt guilty for hurting him.
If she had known this would happen, she would have never agreed to be Amerin's medium.
Her tale, about spending time with a being that looked similar to her and learning a lot of things from her amazed Iliana and Sarill, but she was not sure if they even believed her, or attributed everything to a dream.
However, Aelita knew that it was all real and the moment she was sure that Andrew was alright, she was going to prove it.
