There were still 15 minutes left before the timer ran out, but the liquid in the tank was murky and Andrew could barely see Aelita inside.
-What's going on?
The human asked.
-That's something I'd also like to know, but it has to wait for her to get out.
For now, the device shows that there is nothing wrong and the solution works as it should.
Iliana said while shaking her head.
This was also the first time she had seen anything like that, so she was as puzzled as he was.
She had monitored Aelita's condition for the past three days, and as far as she could tell, there was nothing wrong with her.
On the contrary, Cheroni's physique which made her the weakest person on the station started to change.
Unfortunately, the built-in scanner in the tank was there primarily to monitor the life functions of the patient, so she could not get any more information until Aelita left the tank and was scanned.
The next few minutes went by in silence, both the doctor and Andrew absorbed in their thoughts.
Before they knew it, the timer reached 00:00:00 and a "Beep-Beep-Beep" sound informed them that the tank had finished its work.
Hearing the signal, brought both of them back to reality as the murky fluid was already being drained, revealing the new Aelita.
Andrew and Iliana were both shocked as if they didn't know better, they would have thought that the person inside the tank was a stranger.
The Cheroni was now a few centimeters taller than she used to be and her body changed dramatically.
The most noticeable change was her skin tone which was not a canary yellow anymore and it was pale sand yellow instead, and her hair which was also a few shades lighter than it used to be, not to mention way longer.
Previously, she had shoulder-length hair, but now they reached the floor.
Other than that, she looked much more mature, and her assets were also enlarged.
When previously she was worried about her small breasts, now she made Ilia jealous of her assets.
-Help me carry her to the scanner.
The doctor said the moment the fluid was fully drained and the lid of the Tank opened with a slight hiss.
Andrew reached into the tank to pull the girl out, but before he knew it, she opened her eyes which glowed with green light, and placed her hand on his face before he could even react.
The moment she touched him, a stream of information poured into his brain like an unstoppable flood, threatening to overwhelm his consciousness.
The human panicked at first and tried his best to break the connection, but he soon realized that he was unable to move his body, and the information flooding his mind, didn't help either.
Not able to move away, he did his best to stop the information from pouring in, but the best he could accomplish was to slow them down.
This eased the splitting headache he was having at the moment and allowed him to focus more.
However, no matter what he tried, he still was unable to move his physical body or stop the information from being downloaded into his brain.
The time seemed to stop and Andrew was certain that the whole process, was taking hours at this moment.
The information transfer stopped as abruptly as it had begun and the next moment, Andrew was hurled at the medical module wall, hitting it with a loud bang, and falling onto the floor with a thud.
Ilia turned around just in time to see Aelita's glowing eyes close and Andrew lying on the floor unconscious in the growing pool of his own blood.
She had no idea what had just happened since she had turned to prepare the scanner for Aelita and a second later, without any warning Andrew flew across the module hitting the wall.
-Everyone to the medical module, Andrew is injured and I need help.
She immediately yelled into her comms bracelet.
In less than a minute, everyone barged in, asking what happened.
-No time to explain.
Ilia said, holding gauze on Andrew's wound, trying to stop the bleeding.
-Take Aelita out of the tank and help me put him in.
She said.
-Be careful, he only touched her and ended like this.
-Then why dont you order the droids to do it?
Nairin asked, pointing at the four droids standing still and waiting for instructions.
In her panic, she had forgotten about them.
-Remove the patient, from the regeneration tank and place her on the scanner table.
She ordered and the droids began to comply.
This time nothing happened as they removed Aelita from the tank as ordered.
The moment she was out, Ilia with the help of Lanarine and Terelen placed Andrew inside and activated the machine again.
Once the tank was full of solution, the timer showed 5 hours and began the countdown.
Andrew's vitals were also displayed, showing that he was stable.
With this, everyone sighed in relief.
-What happened here?
Tanera asked a moment later.
-To be honest, I have no idea.
Andrew was supposed to get Aelita out of the tank and place her in the scanner, then I turned around to activate the device.
The next thing I knew, he flew through the whole module hitting the wall and falling to the floor.
That's when I called you all.
Iliana explained, vomiting Aelita's glowing eyes as she only got a glimpse of them and she was not sure if they were glowing or not.
-Are you saying, that Aelita did this to him?
Lan asked, with eyes as wide as saucers.
Everyone here knew that the Cheroni was the weakest of them all and there was no way she could overpower anyone here, much less Andrew.
-It looks that way, but let's not jump to conclusions for now.
Ilia said, trying to overcome the shock at what just happened.
-We all know that she would never willingly hurt Andrew, so this must be something else, but until they both are conscious, we won't know what happened for sure.
After taking a few breaths to calm themselves down, everyone agreed to wait for the two of them to wake up.
-Whatever the case, you can't stay here alone with them.
Terelen said to Iliana, after a moment of thought.
-I'll stay with her.
Sarill volunteered.
-Alright, and if anything happens, call us immediately.
The elf said, with a worried expression.
-You think that this might happen again?
Tanera asked.
-I don't know, but if it should happen again, it's better to have someone who might call for help nearby or we might not be so lucky next time.
He said solemnly.
With that, everyone left, leaving only Iliana and Sarill in the medical module.
Without losing any time, Iliana activated the scanner, wanting to know what was going on with Aelita.
-Do you think it's wise to scan her now?
Sarill asked with worry in her voice.
-We can't ask them what happened for now, but I want to see what happened to her during her time in the tank.
The doctor said and set the device to a full scan.
A few minutes later, the results were displayed and Iliana was shocked once more.
