Rizika remained standing behind the case. She somehow knew that nothing would block Vex for good from getting to her. Well, except if she had gotten through the portal again, off the Earth. He wouldn't reach her in Albria.
He folded his arms. She still couldn't take her eyes away from his chest. Why was he still on his feet after all the bloody shots?
She retreated another step. That would only mean that he wasn't entirely human, or not at all. She wanted to remain at a distance, not for fear—okay, she slightly felt fear inside her. But because she didn't know what kind of a monster he is, or maybe he was a shifter beast. Regardless of any type, she doesn't have any weapon on her. The knife was lost in her grip while she was trying to open the box earlier.
