Chapter 146 - Chapter 146

Seriously, this guy could drink a lot.

He realized that even water buffalo beastmen couldn't drink as much as this guy. Nans was already on his tenth barrel, and his stomach didn't even bulge. Where was all that water going? They couldn't help but get more curious, their eyes on Nans growing more serious.

This guy wasn't simple.

They had no idea when he'd stop. He looked like he could go on for a long time.

They weren't foolish. They knew that drinking more of the spirit spring water had great benefits. That's why they'd tried their best to drink as much as possible before, but they all hit their limits. Once they couldn't drink any more, they gave up. Otherwise, they wouldn't have stopped so easily.

But this guy was still going strong! How long would he keep drinking?

Serlu also didn't expect Nans to drink so much. Could it be related to his water attribute abilities? It seemed likely.

Nans drank one barrel after another, and Serlu kept refilling his barrel. The two of them were busy back and forth like this.

Before long, Nans had drunk nearly twenty barrels, and he still showed no signs of stopping. His companions silently kept count, and each additional barrel left them more astonished.

Nans was incredible! He had already drunk twenty barrels of spirit spring water, which was beyond their imagination. When they had drunk the water themselves, they'd maxed out at seventeen or eighteen barrels, maybe fifteen or sixteen for some. But Nans had already surpassed twenty barrels—and he wasn't even done!

They were truly in awe of his ability. If they could drink more, they would have too, knowing that the water would help their cultivation and cleanse their bodies of impurities. But they understood that drinking too much would eventually lose its effect and create resistance.

After all, once your potential was fully stimulated, there was only so much more you could gain.

Nans' water attribute ability must be extraordinarily powerful. Otherwise, this wouldn't be possible.

While the others continued their work, they kept an eye on Nans. Serlu also watched him, eating snacks while keeping him supplied with water.

Nans kept drinking, barrel after barrel. By the time he reached the 25th barrel, his speed began to slow down.

It seemed like he was nearing his limit. Even so, they were all stunned and had disbelief written all over their faces.

Finally, after the 30th barrel, Nans couldn't drink anymore.

He set down the barrel, feeling lightheaded, even wobbly when he tried to walk. His entire body seemed soaked as if he'd just been pulled out of water. Worse, there was an unpleasant stench clinging to him, and small, dark patches of grime were oozing from his pores, like impurities being expelled from his body.

"I can't drink anymore. How many barrels did I have?" Nans asked, blinking dazedly at the group.

He couldn't remember how much he'd drunk, only that he'd been drinking non-stop, deeply absorbed in the process.

"You drank thirty barrels!" Whiteflute said in astonishment. "We never managed more than twenty barrels when we drank the spring water. You're amazing!"

"Burp..." Nans let out a satisfied belch. He could feel the water sloshing around inside him as he walked, his stomach full to the brim. But something smelled bad. Sniffing, he realized the stench was coming from him.

In the next moment, he saw that his entire body was covered in filth, like he'd been dragged through the mud. The water dripping off him was dark and foul-smelling. Unable to bear it, he jumped into the river.

Serlu couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

There was no need for embarrassment; they'd all been through it.

The moment Nans dove into the water, no one was worried. With his water attribute, being in the water was like a fish returning to the sea—he was completely at home.

They all sat on the riverbank, quietly waiting.

None of them were concerned or in a rush. They went back to their tasks, occasionally glancing at the river. Serlu began cleaning up the barrels.

She couldn't help but marvel at how much he could drink. She'd never seen anyone drink so much.

"This guy really benefitted from all that water," Whiteflute said enviously.

No doubt about it—of all of them, Nans had gained the most. Just by looking at him, it was clear he'd reaped great rewards.

"Of course, it's a good thing. Our overall strength has improved," Chengmo added.

"Yeah."

"I just wonder why he's still in the water," Serlu said, puzzled.

It had been ten minutes already.

Why hadn't Nans come out yet? Could he have fallen asleep in there? When they had bathed in the river, it only took about ten minutes. Of course, the river had been farther away back then, so they spent a few minutes walking to and from it.

But now, the river was right in front of them.
