Chapter 87 - Chapter 87

The sky gradually darkened, and at this moment, Heiyao and the others returned.

Seeing them come back, Silu immediately stood up, smiling as she welcomed them.

Each of them had returned with bountiful harvests.

"You guys are really amazing," Silu said with a smile.

"You just stay here like a good girl. We'll go deal with this food, and I'll come back to carry you over in a bit," Cheng Mo said to her with a smile.

As long as he saw her doing well, everything felt worth it.

"Okay, okay," Silu nodded, sitting obediently on the animal hide.

She watched them walk toward the river.

She knew she couldn't handle seeing the bloody scene of dealing with the food, so she could only wait until they finished and then go over to store it in her space.

Silu sat on the animal hide, warming herself by the fire and waiting obediently.

Meanwhile, Baidi was busy stewing some meat soup and grilling some meat. He also made Silu a pot of vegetable soup, with dried shrimp added to it. The vegetables, of course, came from Silu's farm, which she had taken out for the meal.

Before long, the big tiger, Song Zhan, came over. He was here to carry Silu to collect the meat.

Naturally, they took turns carrying Silu. After all, it wouldn't be fair to let just one person do it all the time, or the others might get a bit jealous.

Seeing that it was the big tiger this time, Silu happily stood up and rubbed his fluffy head.

Every time she petted him, she couldn't get enough of it.

It was just like stroking a cat.

Well, it was like stroking a big cat.

Of course, she loved and cherished each of her partners.

"Lulu, can I sleep with you tonight?" The big tiger asked nervously.

In the past, he often did things wrong that made the little female unhappy, so he had been trying hard to avoid making mistakes.

Tonight it was his turn to be with Silu, but he was still a little worried, so he decided to ask her again.

If the little female wasn't willing, he wouldn't force her.

"Of course," Silu said with a bright smile.

She even reached out and gave the big tiger's head a hearty rub.

Song Zhan was different from Heiyao and Cheng Mo. They both carried Silu in their human forms, and even Heiyao, who was part snake, maintained his human upper body and a large tail for stability when he carried Silu.

Cheng Mo simply used his human form to carry her.

But Song Zhan, the big tiger, used his beast form to let Silu ride on his back, carrying her across the way.

Silu was quite happy with this. She enjoyed riding on the big tiger's back while continuing to pet his big head.

Before long, the duo arrived at the riverside.

Song Zhan carried Silu to the pile of meat, and she began storing the meat in her space.

In no time, all the meat had been stored.

Meanwhile, Cheng Mo had washed several large animal hides, which he handed over to Heiyao. Heiyao used his abilities to gently dry the hides.

In just a minute, the hides were dry, and Silu happily stored them as well.

"Over the next few days, let's hunt more and collect more hides. We'll need them for the winter. We don't know how many wild animals will be near the coast, so we should be prepared," Cheng Mo said.

"Yes, even though the coast is relatively warmer compared to the forest, it's still better to have plenty of hides, just in case. Plus, if we end up with extra, we can trade with other tribes by the coast," Heiyao added.

Cheng Mo's idea made sense to him, and he agreed. After all, they had never been to the coast, so they didn't know what to expect.

Song Zhan chimed in, "I'll also keep an eye out."

Silu didn't say much. After all, she wasn't familiar with the coast either.

But having extra hides did seem like a good idea.

At least if they needed them, they would be available.

And since she had the space to store things, it wasn't a problem to collect more and keep them for when they needed them.

"You guys make the decisions. I'll follow your lead," Silu said to the three of them.

"Alright," Cheng Mo said with a smile, walking over to gently pat Silu's head, his eyes full of warmth.

Seeing this, Heiyao also came over and gave Silu's head a gentle pat, his gaze full of affection.

Silu felt a bit speechless.

These two…

One after another, they were both patting her head.

What was this, some kind of contest?

"Alright, let's head back," Cheng Mo said with a smile.

As soon as they returned, they were greeted by the aroma of food that Baidi had been preparing.

It smelled wonderful!

Silu realized that she was hungry again.

"Come quick! The meat soup is ready, Lulu. I've also scooped out a bowl for you—it's cooling off over there. And your vegetable and shrimp soup is ready too," Baidi said with a smile.

He was eager to see if it turned out well.

He had followed Silu's instructions exactly, but since this kind of soup was new to him, he wasn't sure if she would like it.

"Great! Baidi, you're so amazing—a true domestic helper!" Silu said with a grin.

She excitedly climbed down from Song Zhan's back and made her way to the fire, where Baidi had set aside a bowl of cooling vegetable and shrimp soup, along with the meat soup.

Silu was delighted.

She had drunk this kind of soup before, and today, she suddenly thought of it and asked Baidi to make it for her.

Luckily, she had her farm to grow vegetables; otherwise, getting this kind of dish would have been difficult.

"It should be cool enough now. Try it and see if you like it," Baidi said expectantly.

"Alright, I'll give it a taste," Silu replied.

She, too, was excited.

Baidi picked up the wooden spoon, scooped up some soup, blew on it to cool it, and brought it to Silu's lips.

Silu felt a bit shy at his thoughtful gesture, but she still opened her mouth and drank the soup.

As soon as the soup entered her mouth, her eyes lit up.

"It's delicious! So fresh and flavorful! You should try some too."

"Cheng Mo, Heiyao, you should both try it. I think you'll like the taste. After all, you guys can eat vegetables. But Ah Zhan, you're a meat lover, so I don't think this soup is for you," Silu said with a smile.

And it was true.

Deer were herbivores, after all, and even though this was a world of beastmen, Silu, as a deer beastwoman, could still eat meat.

Foxes were omnivores, so Cheng Mo and Heiyao could enjoy it too.

But Song Zhan was purely carnivorous, and he wouldn't enjoy this vegetable soup.

It wasn't a big deal, though. He could stick to his favorite meats.

"Alright, I'll give it a try," Cheng Mo said with a smile.

"I'll try it too," Heiyao added.

Meanwhile, the big tiger seemed a little disappointed.

"You don't have to worry; just enjoy your roasted meat and soup. This vegetable soup would taste like grass to you, and you wouldn't like it. It's fine. You're a carnivore, and that's great too," Silu comforted the big tiger, who looked a bit dejected.

This big tiger is always getting worked up over little things.
