Sorry! If you find some inaccuracies in week siblings lore, as I researched on it but the info is very limited or you can just ignore it as it's filler.

After leading Kai and Sabrina to an empty table, Nurse Joy didn't leave immediately. Instead, she asked, "Are either of you feeling unwell?"
Hearing this, Kai shifted his gaze away from the two trainers and looked at Nurse Joy with a puzzled expression.
"We're perfectly fine. Why do you ask?"
Nurse Joy smiled and explained, "The temperature difference between the inside and outside of Ice Cave is quite drastic. If you rush in without proper preparation, the sudden shift from warm to freezing can easily cause a fever or a cold. That's why I always check in with travellers. If either of you isn't feeling well, I have some special ginger tea that can help~"
Kai and Sabrina exchanged a glance. Since they had taken all necessary precautions before entering Ice Cave, neither of them felt any discomfort.
"No need, just two coffees with extra sugar, please. Thank you."
"Alright, coming right up!"
As Nurse Joy walked away, Kai's gaze lingered on her short skirt for a moment before he shook his head in mild amusement.
That's impressive…
Even in such a freezing environment, Nurse Joy remained true to her uniform exposing her arms and legs as if completely unfazed by the cold. It was remarkable, almost baffling. Are women naturally resistant to low temperatures?
Not to mention, this Pokémon Center was located deep within the Ice Cave, where sunlight rarely reached, and visitors were few and far between. Living here couldn't be easy.
Before long, Jynx arrived with their coffee.
Kai nodded in thanks and took a sip. The moment the hot liquid slid down his throat, the lingering chill within his body dissipated.
Just then, the two trainers sitting in the distance approached.
Both seemed to be around Kai's age. The woman had long, wavy brown hair, while the man had a neatly combed side part. Their appearances were rather plain ordinary enough to blend into any crowd unnoticed.
However, upon closer inspection, Kai noticed a resemblance between them. They were likely siblings.
"Hello." The woman greeted them with a friendly smile. "Judging by your looks, I assume you're also Trainers? Let me introduce ourselves we're the Week Siblings. I'm Monday, and this is my younger brother, Tuesday."
Kai blinked. Monday? Tuesday?
Those names sound oddly casual… What's next, calling yourselves Wednesday and Thursday?
Wait… isn't that exactly the case?
But… Week Siblings?
Thinking about it, Kai vaguely recalled hearing that name before.
If he remembered correctly, the Week Siblings were a group of seven trainers, each named after a day of the week.
Kai gave them a polite nod and asked, "What's the matter?"
Monday raised an eyebrow and got straight to the point. "How about a battle? We travel around and challenge trainers we meet on our journey. If you manage to defeat us, we'll even give you a badge as a reward!"
"Badge?"
Seeing Kai's calm reaction, Tuesday spoke up, "You must not be from around here if you've never heard of us! Not to brag, but our Week Siblings are fairly well-known in Johto. These badges aren't official League badges, so they won't help you challenge the Silver Conference, but earning one from us is still a mark of skill."
"I see." Kai nodded again. "I don't mind a battle, but I haven't had dinner yet. You'll have to wait a bit."
"No problem." Monday waved it off casually. "There's plenty of time tonight. We'll wait for you here."
Truth be told, Kai would have preferred to take a hot bath and get a good night's sleep. But since he had been challenged, even if he was a bit tired, he wouldn't back down as a Pokémon Trainer, he simply couldn't refuse.
"Alright."
Seeing that Kai had agreed, Monday and Tuesday returned to their seats.
After finishing his coffee, Nurse Joy assigned rooms for Kai and Sabrina. Since there were very few travellers here, they essentially got private rooms.
Once they had dropped off their luggage, they returned to the dining area for dinner.
However…
Even while eating, Kai could feel two pairs of eyes glancing his way every now and then.
Having someone staring at him so persistently ruined his appetite. After a few bites, he turned to Sabrina with a helpless smile, silently conveying that he was already full.
After Sabrina finished her meal at her own pace, Kai escorted her to the Pokémon Center's bathhouse before seeking out Monday. Together with Tuesday, they left the Pokémon Center and headed to the battle area behind it.
Since this battlefield was located in Ice Cave, it was naturally adapted to the environment and icy terrain, perfect for testing a Pokémon's endurance in harsh conditions.
By now, night had fallen, and the sunlight that once filtered through the ice dome had completely disappeared.
With nothing else to do, Nurse Joy and Jynx turned on the floodlights, illuminating the field from the second-floor window as they waved down at the trainers.
Kai and the Week Siblings took their positions.
Monday explained the rules: "The battle format is simple it's a 1v1 match, just like regular Trainer battles. Each of us will use only one Pokémon, and the first to knock out their opponent wins. But if you manage to defeat both of us, you'll earn two badges."
After speaking, Monday pulled a Poké Ball from her belt and waited for Kai to make his move.
Unlike Gym Battles, street matches required both trainers to send out their Pokémon simultaneously eliminating the advantage of choosing second and making things fairer.
But Kai didn't send out his Pokémon right away. Instead, he gave them a warning.
"Just a heads-up… if you don't want the battle to end too quickly, I'd suggest you use your strongest Pokémon. I'm pretty strong, you know."
Hearing his bold words, Tuesday scoffed. "No one's ever dared to say that to us Week Siblings before! Since you're so full of yourself, I won't go easy on you. Monday, step aside I'll take him on first!"
With that, Tuesday nudged Monday out of the way, stepped forward, and pulled out a Poké Ball from the very bottom of his bag the one containing his strongest Pokémon. His expression hardened as he locked eyes with Kai.
Kai had certainly irritated them, but he wasn't just boasting.
At his current level, he needed high-quality battles to improve. Simple fights wouldn't do him any good he had to make every battle count.
After a brief moment of thought, Kai made his choice.
He sent out Venusaur.
Seeing his opponent's Pokémon, Tuesday smirked. In a flash of blue light, his own Pokémon appeared on the battlefield.
Kai took a closer look. It was a Forretress!
Oh?
Bug beats Grass…
Well, this is unfortunate.
Looks like I've got the type disadvantage this time.
