CRACK
In her anger she crushed her phone.
"Urrrrg! THIS IS ALL THAT LAME O FAULT!" She yelled out angrily focusing her anger and lashing out to the figure that started all this because in her mind there was no way this was her fault! "UGGG NEXT TIME I SEE HIM I WILL GIVE HIM A WEDGIE HE WONT FORGET!" she roared with thunder echoing outside.

"ACHOO" Lincoln sneezed.
"Bless you" said Jordan while she, Lincoln and Haiku walked through the park.
"Ah thanks.." Lincoln said rubbing his nose with the back of his hand "I guess somebody's talking about me, Probably my sisters gossiping about us.." he said and joked slightly with an eye roll.
Both he and the girls were...well...he suppose having a good time.
Originally they have come to the park with an objective...find a monster...one small easy to run for/deal with if needed but that Lincoln could try use his power on.
Dangerous? a bit but they werent looking for something like a chimera or similar; but after a couple of hours since they arrived they havent found anything.
Not that things have been a waste of time..they actually took advantage to talk between them, learn a bit more of each other and overall...actually act as friends between them.
"Ummm you think they have a reason too?" asked Haiku with a hidden smile as she wrote something in a notebook she had.
At that question Lincoln flushed and gave a nervous cough.
"Ah oh you know just my sisters being sisters they look too deep into everything.." He said with a strained grin scratching the back of his neck.
Haiku hummed but didnt press on.
"Well..whatever it is I hope those thunders doesnt mean is going to rain" said Jordan "sure we havent find a monster..but Im actually having a good time with you two"
And she really was while part of her kinda would of liked to hang out with Lincoln she actually was finding herself enjoying hanging out with Haiku too she was pretty cool.
Plus Lincoln and her were really helping her relax and forget her earlier problems by a certain wannabe king of gods.
"Same" said Lincoln "sure its...a bit dissapointed but...well...I already knew there was a bit chance wont find anything" he smiled at them "still thanks for coming with me"
"Hey it's the least I can do after you risked your neck against Chandler for me.." Jordan said waving it off with an easy grin.
"And I'm more than happy to help you pursue this new passion to discover your destiny.." Haiku added in a low voice.
Lincoln blushed.
"It was nothing...im happy he didnt hurt you" he said to Jordan "and thanks again" he added at Haiku "Im just feeling quite excited you know? I mean what if this leads to something big..like..a new god or something?" he chuckled nervously "hope not being to silly"
"Hmm not at all.." Haiku disagreed with a shake of her head, "If anything your aspirations and ambition are one of your attractive features.." she admitted in a low tone.
"Ummm" Lincoln did heard her and blushed.
"Ehem...well.." called Jordan for their (read his) attention "to be honest is good you still have something to look for" she admitted "as I was saying before...Being a god do basically set you into a position for life as opposite to be a mortal and not knowing what to do with yours"
"Hmm never thought of it that way.." Lincoln admitted with a low hum but had to see her point.
When you are named a god..it means you have to take that god´s job...like Lori having to host weddings preparing her to the future where she will be basically that only at bigger scale.
Or Lynn working to be basically the goddess of strength having a life time of monster fighting on her future.
Even Lisa who was now goddess of the smith means she will be winning a lot from gods and mortals alike for her talents.
But him?....as much as he wanted to shine like his sister's...he supposed being mortal gave him ironically more freedom in a way.
Having a "divine job" sounded great as long as it fits you..but the issue was that usually you were stuck onto it.
Take Luan for example...she is suppose to be the next Loki...the god (now goddess) of Mischief.
On the surface it fits his sister as she like to make pranks...but being the new Loki was more than that.
Loki was also clever, sneaky, smart and capable of outsmart others in and out problems. So thanks to that, his sister is also given a "central position" as a planner and strategist; something he wasnt sure she was comfortable with.
Not to mention that wanting to entertain kids...tend to go out rails when your own powers work against you, making you transform at random times into something you didnt wanted to.
But him and others as mortals? in a way they could choose anything because of it.
He couldn't shoot lightning bolts or lift up a car but he could choose what he wanted to do with his life.
Quite ironic he was looking then for something that could tie him like any other god.
But even with that one part of himself still wanted to be able to contribute like his sisters do...and if his powers can help them? shouldnt he at least try to do so?
At that he shook his head back to focus.
"I might have more freedom in choosing my destiny... but that just means I can choose to make something of my self like my sister's."
"Thats quite a life dream...I like it" said Haiku as she wrote down on her notebook "I do was wanting to be a deity of the night and death like my old club..but now i think i would feel my mortal life fulfilled if I become a writer of the night"
"Oh you write?" Jordan asked giving her a curious look.
"Ummm...yes...in my old Mortician club we also focus on the artistic side of death...specially poetry" answered Haiku.
"She and my sister are the best" said Lincoln with a smile "I have hear plenty and Haiku here could write a full book of poetry"
This caused Haiku to flush at Lincoln praise while Jordan frown feeling a flash of jealousy.
"Well..to be honest I dont think Im sure what i want" called Jordan "I have always been good at sports so part of me wondered if I couldnt become a sport god before...now? maybe I could become a PE teacher in the future"
Lincoln chuckled a bit.
"Oh yeah your throwing arm is a killer one" he laughed knowing the times she has sent him (and others) to the school nurse with black eyes and bruises.
"Hehe you know it.." Jordan said proudly while flexing the arm in question with a smile, "I bet I could give your sister Lynn a fun for her money with it" she brag somewhat teasingly.
"Hahahahaha ohhh I bet you will one day" said Lincoln.
Sure Lynn had literal Herculean force...but Jordan was quite good even without god blood.
Hearing those words from Lincoln caused Jordan smile to widen as she felt a warm feeling in her stomach.
GROWL!!
And hunger...yeah that was hunger.
"Hehehe sorry...I think could do some lunch" said the girl with a blush.
"Hmm yeah we've been at this for a while.." Lincoln agreed coming to a stop while looking around with a frown, "we should probably take a break to eat." He agreed with a nod.
"I have a dark cloth" said Haiku actually pulling one out "how about we sit next to the lake?"
"That sounds perfect!" Lincoln agreed sending her a smile.
The trio moved then to the lake..not knowing that their peaceful day..was about to make a full turn around.
(A couple of miles away)

"Ugggg" a man fell on the ground with burn marks on his hand
"Quickly he is running away!!!
"Dont let that mutt escape!!"
A small shadow rushed across the woods with men giving chase.
"I got it!!" one called throwing a net.
BARK!! BARK!!! BARK!!!
FLASH!!!
Flames erupted and the figure rushed; continuing the chase.
"Quickly he is entering the park area!!!"
"Why its going there?"
"Who cares! Just get it!"

(Back to Lincoln)
After removing their shoes (per Haiku´s solicitude) the trio sat in the cloth next to the lake as each bring out some sandwiches, juices, small fruits and...
"Whoa thats a nice looking cake" said Lincoln as Haiku pulled a small coffin-shaped caked out a box she brought.
"Made it myself" Haiku said with a proud smile with Jordan once again feeling a flash of jealousy despite admitting that it was a nice looking cake before deciding to bring out her own contribution.
"I made us all something too.." Jordan said a bit louder than necessary.
Both turned to her (with Haiku raising an eyebrow)
"Umm...I mean..well..." bringing a small box she showed some home-made cookies "they are a bit burned but..."
"They look delicious.." Lincoln told her cutting her off and taking one and giving a pleased hum as he bit into it.
Sure were a bit burned outside..but still tasted delicious.
"You..like it?" asked Jordan feeling...a bit nervous for the answer?
"Yeah they´re pretty good...crunchy on the outside chewy on the inside." Lincoln told her with a reassuring smile.
Jordan smiled and covered her face with the box to hide a blush appearing.
And this time it was Haiku feeling a flash of jealousy while giving off a small frown before giving off a pointed cough.
"Ah hmm...why don't you try some of my cake.." she said after cutting and handing Lincoln a slice on a paper plate.
"Dont mind if I do" said Lincoln happily taking the plate.
And as he eagerly dug into the cake he missed Jordan shooting Haiku a slight glare with the goth simply offering a smug smirk in return
"Ummm dark chocolate in and sweet inside? ummm this is the best Haiku ummm" Lincoln called with a smile.
"Well baking isn't that different from mixing up potions.." Haiku said with a humble tone though Jordan brow twitch as she saw the smug victorious look in the other girls eyes.
"Yeah but it leaves a mess" said Jordan taking a napkin "Lincoln could you turn this side a moment?" she asked.
"Uh sure but why?" Lincoln question only to freeze when Jordan started to dabble and clean off his face with the napkin.
"Ummm?" a blush appeared on his face while Haiku narrowed her eyes.
Good move....but she wasn't out of this yet...she thought with narrowed eyes.
In a clean move she positioned her legs and sat in a seiza posture.
"Here Lincoln...you seem tired..how about you lay a bit?" called the goth girl.
"Uh.." Lincoln gave Haiku a confused look but choose to shrug and go along with it "I suppose a bit of rest could do me some good." He said moving to lay down.
"Oh you dirty!!!!" Jordan thought steaming in anger (specially at Haiku smug smile).

However Lincoln suddenly stiffed and stood straight.
"Lincoln?" Both girls spoke out sending him concerned looks as he frowned.
"Somethings wrong.." He said raising his head not sure how he knew this as he looked out into the distance, "And...something's coming.." He added with a frown

and they heard bushes being moved through.
Lincoln, by instinct, found himself stepping up in front of the girls protectively.
"Stay behind me girls!" He told them determined to keep them safe and missing the shared flushes both girls gave at this while he focused on the bushes with glare only to have his eyes widen when he saw the figure coming out of them.

Coming out of the bushes was a small Pitbull Terrier dog with small white ears, a small black nose, freckles and a black concentric circle on his back. But the issue was...it had three heads; with the central one having a black spot over his left eye.
But although that was shocking...the three of them couldnt help but notice the bruises, cuts and dirt covering it.
"It's a cerberus..." Jordan breathed out in slight awe at one of the most well known creatures of greek legend shocked to see one not only in person but one in such a state.
"The poor creature.. Haiku breathed out stepping past Lincoln to approach the dog in concern "also the term is Cerberi..as its not the original one but a mix" she added kneeling in front of the dog.
Cerberi could be considered descendants of Cerberus...no one know exactly how or when it started...some say was the blood of the original three headed dog being feast to normal dogs..others used the classic "normal breeding" or even secret experiment route..but three headed dogs do where a thing.
And among the monsters and creatures that walked the earth Cerberi had a unique if complex relationship when it came humanity when compared to other mystical beings.
"I knew that!" Jordan blushed not liking she was corrected like that....in front of Lincoln.
whine growl!!!
The small dog whined but growled when Haiku tried to approach.
"Easy..it's okay...I only want to help.." Haiku said gently missing the look of slight awe Lincoln was giving her.

Although the growls didnt seem to stop.
Lincoln decided to approach. He could trust Haiku..but better safe that sorry as some Cerberi could come with some traits from the original one like poisonous bites or fire breath.
"Easy there little fellow..she is fine...we are all" called Lincoln kneeling next to Haiku.
At Lincoln presence the Cerberi seemed to pause and seemed to give off a slight confused whine while sniffing at the air.

And then began shaking its little tail and approach the kneeling duo.
"I think he likes you Lincoln.." Jordan said gaining a more excited smile as she approached at well still looking at the Cerberi pup in awe.
"Seem so" said Lincoln extending a hand to it.
Arf!!
And the puppy moved allowing him to pet its middle head.
"That's a good boy.." Lincoln said with a laugh while the girls stepped out Haiku reaching out slowly to the right head hoping to pet it.
The head looked up with some distrust.
"Hey its ok...she is a nice girl" called Lincoln to him.
The dog looked confused at him then to her...and then the right head simply lower itself, allowing Haiku to pet it.
"Hehe you really do have a way with legendary creatures don't you Lincoln.." Haiku said sending him a look of slight awe.
"Hehehehe kinda?" he said part of him happy to be able to test that.
"I say so" said Jordan managing to pet the left head...for a three headed dog..it was quite cute "but...outside that..where this little guy came from?" she added noticing it didnt had no collar or tag. "I mean aren't Cerberi usually a monitored species.." she added with a frown.
"They are..unless this one is a wild one" said Lincoln knowing like with normal dogs..Cerberi could be abandoned or be street-born

"I think it went this way!"
However the sound of voices put the three kids in alert as a group of people emerged from the bushes too.
"Um....these guys don't look friendly.." Jordan said while unconsciously stepping closer to Lincoln.
GRRRRRRR
The boy agreed as the small dog growled as it went behind the trio for protection.
"Come on it couldnt..oh" one of them noticed the trio which also made the others look at them "umm..hello kids..nice weather we having?" The man said with a nervous strain grin before getting whack in the head by one of his companions.
"Can we help you?" Jordan asked too in distrust.
One of the men stood forwards.
"Sorry kids..we didnt mean to interrupt your picnic" he said noticing the setting "we are of Ragnarok" he declared with pride "we are on the hunt of a dangerous monster that we think came on this direction"
The three froze at the admission of these people being from Ragnarok with the group of hunters in front of them not yet noticing the form of the Cerberi hiding behind the three.
"A monster...ah what kind of monster?" Lincoln asked with a strained grin and nervous sweat.
"One very dangerous hellhound" called another man "Nothing kids should be close too"
"A hellhound.." Lincoln said nervously with a gulp realizing easily what they were talking about and honestly didn't want to leave the Cerberi puppy at their mercy.
"Sounds scary!" Jordan called out acting scared and selling the act by grabbing onto Lincoln arm and pulling herself close against him with Lincoln despite the situation freezing slightly with a blush and Jordan finding herself enjoying the moment
"Indeed quite dreadful.." Haiku agreed clinging to Lincoln other arm with a frown, "Though we haven't seen any hellhound." she told them while behind them the Cerberi pup was sniffing at and attempting to crawl into the open picnic basket.
"Well we can tell it went into this direction so you better be careful" called another man eying them.
"Don't worry sir we'll be careful.." Lincoln said while subtle glancing behind him, "in fact just let me and my friends get our stuff and we'll get somewhere safe." He added as he stepped toward the basket trying to block it from the view of the Ragnarok members.
"yes..better not take risks" said Jordan as she and Haiku followed suit trying to not look suspicious.
Fourtunalety it seems the dog was able to climb into the basked so the kids began picking up the rest of their stuff and their shoes..all while the Ragnarok guys kept their gazes on them.
"Hmm hey doesn't that white haired kid look familiar.." One man whispered in a low voice to his friend while rubbing his chin.
"Now that you mentioned...I think so...but can exactly tell who he is" he answered.
Meanwhile Lincoln and the girls were getting ready to leave but unknown to them inside the basket the Cerberi pup was sniffing at a bottle of pepper.
Urff?
One head decided to take a bite of it.
CRANK
Making it crack open and fall releasing the dust.
And at that, all three heads felt a powerful urge to sneeze.
"ACHOO!
FWOOSH
And as soon as they did each head let out a breath of fire in the process.
"YIKES!!!"
That made Jordan (who was holding the basket) to let go making it tumble and open revealing the dog.
This of course caused everyone to freeze from the kids to the Ragnarok members all of them staring at the hound sitting on the ground shaking it's head.
"Ah...wow...would you look at that...it's a cerberus.." Jordan said breaking the silence with a awkward chuckle.
"Cerberi.." Corrected Haiku by instinct with a sigh knowing they were likely in trouble now.
"Whatever it is thats the monster!" called another Ragnarok looking in anger "you kids shouldnt be playing with a beast like that on!" he added pulling out a metal bat.
"Woah easy.." Lincoln raised up his hands placating while stepping in front of the puppy who whimpered slightly at the sight of the bat "I know monsters are usually dangerous but this is a cerberi never mind a puppy." he added giving a frown, "I mean there are people who keep them as pet! Heck some places like the bank and I think museum have them as part of security!"
"Yeah they arent even dangerous to be around!" Jordan added.
On that both of them were...a bit right..trained/raised Cerberi (since pups) were highly loyal to their owners and great guardians of any house/place they were set on.
The issue, came with abandoned/wild ones...as their "protectiveness" transformed into "highly territorial behavior" which made them HIGHLY aggressive and dangerous to anyone that entered what they considered their territory.
Which lead to why compared to most other mystical beasts Cerberi occupied a complicated love/hate relationship of sorts with humanity by large.
"Its a monster!! nothing about them are safe!!" yelled the bat-holding man
"Hey easy..dont get all work out they are only kids" another called before addressing the trio "look..it might look cute but that thing is dangerous..so how about you let us take care of it and you continued with your...date" he added noticing how close the girls were to the boy.
"Date!?" Jordan exclaimed out with a blush despite the situation with Haiku also flushing at their outing being called a shared three way date.
"we..we arent..I mean...we...ummm.." Lincoln´s face also turned red as he couldnt get words come out properly.
"Ah...we merely share a bond.." Haiku found herself saying in a low tone looking away.
Ok..talk about awkard.
"Whatever..look..just give us the mutt and you can go!" one of the hunters called.
At that the three kids shook their heads back to focus and shot the Ragnarok group glares.
"No way!" Lincoln snapped with a scowl while Haiku protectively scoop the puppy up into her arms while stepping behind Lincoln, "I can understand trying to protect people from monsters but this little guy isn't a threat."
The adults..didnt looked happy.
"Look kid..it might look like that but we know that thing is dangerous" one called.
"If anything we are cutting a treat before it can grow and BE one" another said also holding up a knife.
This caused Haiku to clench tighter onto the puppy giving them a slightly frighten look while the Cerberi whimpered.
"If you really think this pupp is dangerous you need to get your eyes check!" yelled Jordan in anger "so how about you take that aptitude and leave us alone!"
"Urg...kids...never know what's best for them." one of the ragnarok members said with a groan face palming and grumbling.
"What I think its that we cant lose more time" called the bat welling man "lets just take the damn dog!"
At this the three children took several steps back.
"You will not hurt him!" Lincoln declared glaring defiantly up at the group trying to note showing any fear despite the odds against them but getting ready to tell the girls to take the dog and run while he tried to keep all these jerks busy....somehow
"Oh you think you can stop us?!" one fo them mocked "what can you do? piss your pants?"
Lincoln growled not liking that tone.
Unknown to him, his anger triggered something as the pup on Haiku´s arms began growling in anger too.
While under the surface...deep down in the lake bed...something stirred..and multiple red eyes opened.
Up on the surface the near by lake was starting to....bubble?
Although no one seems to notice as the hunters began approaching.
"Ok look..this is for your own good so we will take that pup and thats it!" the leader called in anger.
Lincoln narrowed his eyes.
"BACK OFF!" he ordered also stepping forwards.

When something broke out the lake.
The hunters noticed it first as they looked something emerging going up..and up..and up...
The trio of kids blinked..more when a shadow fell over them.
"This...is either really good...or really bad" said Lincoln before turning...and gulping.
Out the lake came out a grey and long serpentine head (As big as Lincoln was) and neck with blood red pupil-less eyes and two fangs sticking out its maw.

It didnt took a genius for EVERYONE to know they were in front of one of THE most dangerous beast of greek Mythology.
"Hy...hy...hy..." one of the hunter gulped in fear.
" HYDRA!"
Multiple screams of fear shouted out in terror.
The kids (being exactly "under" the creature) could only look up in awe/fear at the nine-headed serpent.
BARK-BARK
And then fear became more prominent as the pup they have barked at it making all nine heads turn to them.
HISSSSS
And then...began approaching slowly?
The nine heads moved over/around the kids..red eyes looking...in confusion? at them; some flicking their tongues out tasting the air as if they were...looking for something?
"Maybe...it's a nice hydra.." Jordan said with a nervous gulp stepping behind Lincoln,
"Hydras are one of the greek beasts with the highest body counts..." said Haiku also nervous.
Hydra on one side...angry Ragnarok guys on the other...this wasnt good.
However Lincoln...decided to do something either brave, or really stupid.
"Gulp...Hey there" he greeted the serpent "sorry if we bothered you...but...ummm..we could use some help" he added pointing at the hunter group.
Much to everyone's surprise all but three heads turned to the group the boy was pointing at. The others kept their gaze on the kids.
The hydra heads that were looking at the kids gave a low hiss but seemed to gaze intensely at Lincoln...that feeling...that energy....it was so familiar.
Meanwhile the other two heads "sniffed" at the girls...they smelled a bit like him...so...maybe mates?
The hunters on the other said were quite shocked.
Was this kid talking to a HYDRA?!!!
"Is that crazy or something?!" One man hissed out while a woman spoke up nervously, "Eh well some people do attempt to calm down wild animals when they attack." she said with a gulp looking up at the monster.
"This is a HYDRA!! not your typical dog or squirrel" one called in anger.
"That kid is not normal!" the other called "it must be one of those so-called gods!" another accused.
"Since when do god control the monsters?" Another asked with a worried scowl because both of those abominations were bad enough they didn't need a freak that controlled monsters as a power around.
"I heard they has always be doing that..staging their fights to look good before the normal folks!" another cried "this is proof of that!"
"Urgg those bastards! People have died so they can live the glory and force us to worship them!" Another cried out angrily.
"And now we have proof!!" another cried "lets capture that boy and make him tell us everything!!!"
This was followed by cries of agreement

SNARL!!!
That were cut short as now ALL the heads of the hydra were on them...and none looked happy.
"BETTER IDEA! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" One particularly cowardly member of the Ragnarok group cried out while attempting to flee.
SNARL!!!!
The nine heads roared in their direction
CRACK!!!
When suddenly a whole tree impacted the hydra
Everyone looked confused at this.
"HEY YOU OVERGROWN IGUANA!!!"
"Oh no..not now!" Lincoln called in horror/frustration and Lynn rushed from down the road.
"Why dont you mess with me!!!" She added picking up a big stone over her head and throwing it at the serpent.
Of course his sister had to show up now of all times....right when it seemed like he not only finally found a monster but seemed to be somehow getting it to listen to him!
SNARL!!!
And for the way it was now looking at Lynn..he was more than sure it wont do so again!!!
Ugg could this get worst?
Well...
"Dont you stay there!" Lynn yelled at the group of men "get my bro and his friends out of here while i keep this snake busy!!"
Yes...yes it could..
Lincoln thought dryly with disbelief while the Ragnarok goons glared at him, Jordan, and Haiku the latter two face palming or giving off a heavy sigh.
"That's where I know this kid! He's one of the Loud freaks!" Shouted a man angrily.
"Freak?!!" Lynn asked in shock

Only to be hit by a sailed tail as the Hydra roared emerging fully out the water.
Its fangs dripping poison that literal burned the grass under it as it growled at the incarnation of Hercules in anger.
"Get the kids let the freaks kill each other!" the Ragnarok lead called.
"Girls run!!" yelled Lincoln taking both Haiku and Jordan´s arm before start running.
"After them!" The Ragnarok lead cried out with a dark glare as they tore after the kids with dark murderous expressions.
"Ugg..." Lynn groaned as she stood up.
SNARL!!!
WHAM!!!
Only to have to leap away as the tail of the hydra impacted again.
HISSSSSSSS!!!!!
"Figures...I actually find a good...monster to fight...at the worst...possible time.." Lynn groaned out from where she landed in a crouch with a groan, "Guess this is why they say not to tempt the fates.."

One of the head rushed in; poison dripping from its mouth.
But Lynn dodged the snapping head by jumping to the left before countering attacking by kicking the Hydra straight in the eye.
SNARL!!
WHAM
Or she would if it wasnt for a second head batting her away.
CRASH!!!
"Uggg"

"YIKES!!"
Lynn roared as another of the Hydra´s head literal bite out a chunk of earth where she previously was.
SNARL!!!
Followed by a second and then a third!
"Okay..ah..ah..starting to see...ah...why everyone says Hydra's are so dangerous.." Lynn said with a groan as truthfully while she had experience sparring or fighting a variety of monsters this was the first hydra she had faced and it was proving a challenge and not in the fun way....and she was honestly starting to regret thinking these things were just overgrown worms

SPECIALLY as each of those heads where dripping a poison she was sure could be lethal even for her considering how it was eating at the ground and plant-life around it like acid and fire mixed in one.
And the fact that her little brother was currently running from his life from a pack of goons just raised the stakes all the more!
