"But you didn't eat," Aurora whispered, frowning while pointing out the obvious.
"I'm already full, you know I don't like eating much." That was a lie. She was so hungry she could eat a cow. But she didn't want to make the little girl worry.
However, she had forgotten that her girl was smarter than she seemed. Not only that, she was also adept at reading emotions. Despite not saying anything and only humming, Aurora promised herself she'd talk to her mother tomorrow morning. Her eldest sister was Mommy's daughter too—how could she treat some man better than her?
Unaware of what was going on in the girl's head, Gianna carried her to her room, settling her down on the bed.
