Lying on the surface of the lake, Samuel could not help but snicker over the situation. Fighting someone truly on par with himself had caused his blood to bubble. He desired to win and nothing was going to stop him.
The lake exploded in a geyser of steam as Samuel burst forth, his eyes glowing like molten gold. He ascended once more, fire coiling around his jaws, and met his sister head-on in the sky. This time, he didn't hold back.
With a deafening roar, he clamped his jaws around her forearm, his fangs sinking deep. He then proceeded to twirl her around in a circular motion, generating a hurricane in the process, before launching her at the ground.
She crashed onto the ground with a resounding boom, sending a plume of dust traveling almost a mile. She puked up blood as she raised herself back unto her feet. She looked towards Samuel, who hovered above her in the sky, and roared…her wrath going beyond limits.
Her blue eyes glowed sharply as she flew back into the sky…charging at her brother with murderous rage.
As the battle intensified further, Catherina shot a powerful breath of blue fire suddenly at Samuel trying to catch him off guard but he countered with an equally powerful breath of ice.
The clash of the two elements brought about thunderclouds overhead; as a result of the opposing fire and ice breaths clashing. It created a massive warm and cold front as the thunderclouds grew denser, releasing heavy rains akin to storms. Bolts of lightning rained down on the battlefield, threatening all those who were out in the open.
The observers, shielded by the barriers were astounded. The battle between the two monsters had literally changed the weather.
'I'm sorry Cathy…I need to end this now', Samuel thought to himself as, with a sudden concentrated show of force, his ice overpowered Catherina's fire, quenching it and continuing on to strike her; encasing part of her body and wings in ice, and putting her in a daze.
"End this now!!" Dr. Michelson shouted and almost instantaneously, Samuel flew higher and with great speed, shot down towards her, doing multiple three-hundred-and-sixty-degree forward spins and, using his heavy tail, struck her, shattering her icy prison and launching her straight to the ground. The impact of her fall caused an earthquake of tremendous magnitude-the entire area to shaking violently.
The observers had to stay low to the ground to avoid being thrown down. The students in the bus had had their world view expanded. Who would have thought that they would get to witness such a spectacle on their field trip? Their friends back at school were going to be so jealous when they find out.
Samuel stared at the crater created by his sisters' fall and immediately flew down and pinned her to the ground, placing a clawed hand on her head. He then raised his head and gave a loud deafening roar, signaling the Crimson Dragon's victory.
Catherina's eyes dilated as she stopped struggling as the last sparks of wild energy dissipated from her body; becoming docile, as she recognized her brother's win and submitted to him completely.
"He won the battle. That was pretty intense", Sylvester said. "Yeah, the fight was more than I expected it to be", Sylvia added. "All that is left is for him to free her consciousness. Lisia is buying us enough time. It will take a few minutes but they'll notice the interference and try to correct it", Dr. Michelson added, still protected from the slowly dispersing storm by the lightning and artificial barrier.
Samuel held on to Catherina's head and turned it-making her look into his eyes. His eyes then dilated and glowed slightly, a sign that his hypnosis was activated.
Using his hypnosis, in combination with the telepathic link he had with his sister, Samuel reached deep into her dragon psyche and released her human consciousness, proceeding to sync both her human consciousness and her dragon consciousness into one like his.
Catherina roared as her eyes glowed in response to Samuel's. The glow in her eyes dimmed as her eyes contracted and the haze in her eyes appeared to clear.
"Big brother, is that you?" she asked when her mind cleared and she regained consciousness-hugging him instantly. "Yes, it's me Cathy. How are you feeling?" Samuel asked as he patted her head and returned the hug.
"I am not sure. I feel like a train just run over me though. It's so crazy", She responded with a snicker. "Well considering the fact that I just had to beat you up to save you, it's normal that you feel like a wreck. Of course…I feel the same", Samuel said to her with a smirk. "What?! You mean we fought?" she asked surprised.
"Yeah, but you are okay now", he said as he helped her to her feet. She turned around and saw the damage they had caused to the environment. "Oof!! That's a lot of damage for one sibling fight", she joked.
"I know right? It's crazy", he responded as the both burst into laughter; the sound being more apparent due to the power of their dragonic voices.
"So, this is what a dragon is capable of, huh?" Catherina asked as she looked over the landscape, observing the total destruction their battle had caused.
"This and many more. For now, let's get back to the others", Samuel said, turning his massive head, looking in the direction of Dr. Michelson, their parents and their friends.
"Hmm!" she nodded as they both spread their large wings and leapt off the ground.
They flew to the plateau where the others were and hooked themselves to the sides of the cliff, their massive frames overlooking the entire group. The rest of Catherina's class could do nothing but huddle close to their teacher in fear of the towering monsters looking down on them.
"Catherina!!" Helen shouted as she run up to her friend. Seeing her friend, Catherina smiled and lowered her head to the ground; Helen proceeding to embrace her snout.
"I was really scared for a while there. I thought I could never speak to you again", Helen said as she wiped a tear from her eyes. "I am glad you are all safe. I'm sorry for scaring you, but everything is okay now", Catherina assured.
"But still, it's super cool that you can transform into a dragon. Your body is so beautiful; so smooth, shiny and blue. I would have preferred pink but whatever", Helen added while gently rubbing the scales on Catherina's head.
"My baby girl", Vivian mumbled in tears as she came towards Catherina and hugged her as well followed by Bernard who simply patted her snout. "I'm happy to see you again Mom and Dad", Catherina said as a tear drop fell from her large eyes.
"Sorry to interrupt but, we've run out of time. There isn't a moment to spare. Hurry and change back to your human forms; Lisia has released her control and the satellite is only seconds away from capturing your images, and ours", Dr. Michelson warned.
