Bai Meiyue had no plans to help Jiang Haidai. If she could survive then Bai Meiyue would let her take her son away; if the woman died fighting the zombies, then she would raise the boy, taking him as the son of a friend. Anyway, she didn't lack supplies; she could afford to raise a few more mouths.
What she couldn't raise were freeloaders.
Inside the buildings, Jiang Haidai looked at the three zombies that were lingering outside and paused while clutching the panga in her hands. She was terrified at the sight of the monsters that were scratching and banging on the glass doors. She didn't know what to do; however, she didn't get the chance to plan her next move.
Because the next second, two zombies rushed out from the basement and charged right at her.
