Nova's sharp gaze locked onto Morlun as the tension in the shattered ballroom thickened. Before making a move, he focused his thoughts, activating one of his most valuable abilities.
-----
SKILL ACTIVATED: EYE OF APPRAISAL
-----
[APPRAISAL COMPLETE]
Name: Morlun
Race: Inheritor
Threat Level: Omega-Class Predator
Primary Affinity: Totemic Energy Drain
Status:Fully Energized | Highly Dangerous
ABILITIES & TRAITS:
→ Totemic Energy Absorption – Morlun can drain the life force of those connected to totemic power, making him especially lethal to Spider-Totems like Peter Parker/Spiderman. Once he latches onto his prey, escape is nearly impossible.
→ Superhuman Physiology – His strength, speed, and durability far exceed normal superhumans. He can lift over 100 tons, move at speeds beyond peak human perception, and endure blows that would kill most beings.
→ Enhanced Regeneration – Morlun recovers from most injuries at an accelerated rate. Even fatal wounds, such as impalement or loss of limbs, are temporary setbacks.
→ Near-Immortality – He does not age, and traditional forms of death (suffocation, poison, disease) have no effect. His biology is designed for perpetual existence.
→ Dimensional Tracking – As an Inheritor, Morlun can sense and hunt Spider-Totems across realities. No matter where they hide, he will find them.
→ Prey Lock-On – Once Morlun sets his sights on a target, he becomes unrelenting, tracking them even through mystical concealments.
→ Inheritor Revival Protocol – If killed, Morlun can resurrect via cloning technology from his home dimension. Destroying his body is not enough—his soul must be annihilated to ensure permanent death.
→ Adaptive Resistance – After suffering an attack once, Morlun develops a resistance, making it harder to harm him the same way twice.
WEAKNESSES:
→ Soul-Based Attacks – His spirit is vulnerable to direct assaults. If his soul is destroyed, his ability to revive is nullified.
→ Divine or Mystical Energy – Though highly resistant to most forms of magic, true divine power or soul-severing spells (such as Avada Kedavra or Dementor's Kiss) could end him permanently.
→ Total Energy Deprivation – If completely drained of life force, Morlun will enter a vulnerable state before death. However, this is nearly impossible to achieve.
→ Anti-Totemic Barriers – Certain artifacts and wards can disrupt his ability to hunt and drain totemic energy, though they only slow him down.
ASSESSMENT:
WARNING: ENGAGING THIS ENTITY DIRECTLY IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: ELIMINATE SOUL OR PREVENT REVIVAL.

Nova felt his breath hitch as the flood of information filled his mind. His hands clenched into fists, not out of confidence, but pure instinct—the kind that told him he was in serious trouble.
"This guy… he's a monster. Why did a late-game boss villain show up in the novice village?"
His eyes darted over Morlun's abilities again, his mind struggling to process just how outmatched he was. Superhuman strength, regeneration, near-immortality, and worst of all—if Nova did somehow manage to kill him, he'd just come back. His stomach twisted. .
Nova's heart pounded in his chest, a chaotic mixture of fear and excitement flooding his body. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, but the reality of the situation weighed heavily on him. His opponent's hyper-regeneration and apparent immortality were a deadly combination, and Nova knew he was facing a serious threat.
"Think, Nova, think! There has to be something you can do!" The words echoed in his mind as he scanned the enemy's weaknesses. His frown deepened as he read through the list. There were no wards to exploit, no life force depreciation abilities, and certainly no divine energy or soul-based skills. Nova's frustration grew as he realized that none of his usual tactics would work.
"Great... so nothing I can actually exploit." He cursed under his breath, feeling more trapped with each passing moment.
But even if they manage to repeal or kill him, he is gonna return soon with his form of immortality, only option to completely get rid him is through, Soul destruction—that was the only real way to make sure Morlun stayed dead. But how was he supposed to pull that off? He doesn't have magic nor does he have spell- Avada Kedavra.
Nova exhaled slowly, forcing himself to remain steady. His fingers brushed against his wrist, barely grazing the smooth surface of his watch-disguised Omnitrix. The movement was subtle, almost imperceptible beneath the tattered sleeve of his jacket. The dial hummed softly under his touch, a brief pulse of energy passing through his veins as he activated Fusion Mode: Human.
As Nova discreetly activated Fusion Mode: Human, the Omnitrix released its signature brilliant green flash. The sudden burst of light forced everyone in the room to instinctively shield their eyes—Morlun, Spider-Man, even Gwen and MJ from their hiding spots.
When the radiance faded, all eyes snapped back to Nova. The difference was immediately noticeable. His height had increased slightly, his frame broader, muscles more defined. The fabric of his suit strained against his expanding physique, and with a sharp rip, parts of his sleeves and shoulders tore apart.
Nova exhaled sharply, glancing down at the torn remnants of his suit. Yeah, this wasn't going to work. If Fusion Mode kept altering his physique like this, he'd end up fighting half-naked every time he powered up. That was not an option. He needs to quickly create his hero suit.
Shaking his head, Nova focused on silent surge of power coursed through his body. His muscles tensed, expanding ever so slightly as newfound density and strength settled into them. His bones hardened, his frame reinforced by the raw durability of Four Arms' physiology—not entirely, but enough. At sixty-five percent of the Tetramand's power, Nova remained in his human form, but every motion carried a new weight, a new force.
His grip tightened experimentally. Stronger. He rolled his shoulders, feeling the pressure of his enhanced musculature settling into place. More durable. His stance adjusted naturally, instincts sharpening as his body synchronized with the fusion's power. Faster.
"Yeah," Nova muttered, rolling his shoulders as energy crackled through his muscles. "I saw what you are. And I'm still here."
Morlun's smirk widened. "Good. I do so enjoy a struggle."
Then he moved.
BOOM.
Morlun's charge was like a bullet from a railgun—instantaneous, unavoidable. The marble beneath him exploded, cracks spiderwebbing outward as his form blurred toward Nova with terrifying speed.
But Nova was ready. Rather than dodge, he planted his feet and met Morlun's charge head-on. Their collision sent a shockwave tearing through the ruined ballroom. Chandeliers shattered, what was left of the walls groaned, and debris launched in every direction.
Nova's enhanced musculature let him hold the line—for a second. But Morlun's raw force was unreal. Even bracing himself, Nova felt his feet skid backward, heels digging into the broken floor. He's stronger than me.
The realization came fast, and Nova adapted faster. He twisted mid-clash, redirecting Morlun's momentum instead of absorbing it, spinning to drive an elbow into the predator's ribs.
CRACK.
Morlun barely reacted. His counter came instantly—a clawed hand slashed forward, aiming for Nova's throat.
Nova dodged—barely. The razor-sharp fingers cut through the air millimeters from his skin. If that had landed, it wouldn't have been a mere cut—it would've been life force extraction.
He retaliated with a gut-wrenching uppercut, driving his fist into Morlun's jaw with titanic force.
BOOM!
Morlun's head snapped back. For the first time, the Inheritor stumbled, taking a step back as dust billowed around them. Nova's pulse quickened. That worked.
Morlun touched his jaw, glancing at Nova with something new in his crimson gaze. Not pain. Not anger. Interest.
"Impressive," Morlun admitted, his voice smooth despite the blow. "Few have struck me so cleanly on their first attempt. But I did warn you—"
He vanished.
WHAT?!
Nova's instincts screamed. Before he could react, an impact like a sledgehammer slammed into his ribs.
BOOM!
Nova was sent flying. He crashed through a pillar, then another, before finally smashing into the ballroom's far wall, embedding into the cracked stone. Pain flared through his torso. His enhanced durability had taken the brunt of it, but damn.
Morlun had barely moved. One second he had been standing still. The next, he had hit Nova harder than anyone had ever hit him.
Nova groaned, pushing himself out of the rubble. Spider-Man landed next to him, crouched low, eyes wide beneath his mask. "Okay, yeah. That dude does not skip leg day."
Nova coughed. "Understatement."
Morlun strode forward, perfectly composed. "You are strong," he admitted, his gaze sweeping over Nova. "Stronger than most. But strength without experience is wasted. Tell me—"
He vanished again.
Nova's instincts flared. Left—no, right!
He twisted at the last second, avoiding a clawed hand aimed for his chest. He countered, swinging an elbow, but Morlun caught his arm mid-motion.
Then he squeezed.
Nova gritted his teeth. It felt like his bones were about to snap.
"Experience is what separates the hunters from the hunted," Morlun mused. Then he pivoted, launching Nova like a ragdoll across the room.
CRASH!
Nova landed hard, skidding across the marble floor.
Spider-Man was already moving. "THWIP!" A web-line shot out, wrapping around Morlun's wrist.
"Yeah, how about you don't do that?" Peter quipped, yanking hard.
Morlun didn't even turn. He jerked his arm, and Spider-Man was suddenly airborne—ripped off his feet and hurtling straight toward him.
At the last moment, Morlun grabbed him by the throat.
Peter gasped.
"Ah," Morlun murmured, his grip tightening. "The original. I have waited long enough."
Nova's mind snapped into focus. If Morlun started draining Peter now, it was over.
Ignoring the pain, he forced himself up. He had one shot.
Nova charged.
Morlun barely spared him a glance—mistake.
At the last moment, Nova shifted his weight, dropping low—then launched a brutal rising knee right into Morlun's diaphragm.
BOOM!
The force sent shockwaves through Morlun's body. For the first time, his grip on Spider-Man loosened.
Peter gasped, yanking himself free and flipping backward. "Oh my god, I love you—"
"MOVE!" Nova shouted.
Peter moved.
Nova followed up, unleashing a rapid flurry of punches—each one packed with as much force as possible.
Left. Right. Hook. Uppercut.
Morlun blocked the first few. But Nova wasn't letting up. He adjusted mid-motion, shifting angles, testing for gaps.
And he found one.
A clean hit to the ribs.
Morlun actually grunted.
Nova pressed his advantage. "Not so untouchable now, huh?"
Morlun's gaze snapped to him.
Nova's instincts screamed.
Too late.
Morlun dropped his defenses, took the next hit on purpose—then retaliated instantly.
A fist to the sternum.
It felt like a freight train hitting Nova point-blank.
CRASH!
Nova was launched across the room, his body slamming into a marble column hard enough to shatter it. His lungs burned. His entire chest ached.
Morlun exhaled, rolling his shoulders. "Enough games."
Nova groaned. His vision swam. Damn it. This wasn't working. His five-minute time limit was ticking down fast. They needed a new plan. Fast.
Across the room, Gwen and MJ moved.
They had used the chaos to slip away, ducking behind debris. Gwen's fingers trembled as she unzipped her bag, revealing the stark white mask beneath. MJ reached into her own case, pulling free her crimson-tinted suit.
Their eyes met. An unspoken agreement passed between them.
They couldn't stay on the sidelines.
As Nova and Spider-Man continued their desperate fight, two new figures emerged from the shadows.
The red-and-white of Ghost-Spider.
The deep crimson of Spider-lady.
