Chapter 265 - Chapter 303: Mordred vs. Semiramis

Illya: "Ah! That's so cruel!"

Chihiro: "(That's nothing. Gilgamesh dug out both of your eyes before.)"

Kayneth: "Hiss! Is this poison? He got poisoned just by looking at it?!"

Caules: "That looks incredibly painful… but you're staying so calm."

Sisigou: "Compared to losing my life, this pain is nothing."

Sisigou: "Still, as expected of the oldest poisoner. She can even transmit poison through magical vision."

Sisigou: "No… or rather, I was already trapped the moment I stepped into this room."

Semiramis: "Haha, who knows?"

[Sisigou wasn't particularly concerned about his lost eye. If he made it out alive, he could just order a high-quality artificial one, something quite common in the world of mages.]

[The real problem was that his Servant was now trapped in a high-risk environment, facing the oldest poisoner, Semiramis, who commanded countless lethal toxins. And worst of all—he couldn't do a thing to help.]

["Damn it..."]

---

[Inside the room, Mordred had quickly put on "Secret of Pedigree", barely managing to block Semiramis's spreading poison.]

[Semiramis: "Oh? This should buy you some time. Very good, very good. Kicking your Master away was a wise choice. I'll give you credit for that."

Mordred: "What a joke! This whole place is your doing, isn't it?!"

Semiramis: "Of course. Who do you think I am? I am Semiramis, the oldest poisoner. My Origin Toxin is connected to all poisons."]

["Speaking of which, this particular toxin was specially designed to deal with Servants. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to use it until now. At the very least, struggle a little before you die—it would be a shame if all my hard work went to waste."]

[Semiramis raised her hand, and dark green chains emerged from the shadows, slithering toward Mordred like serpents.]

["Now, die."]

[Mordred wasn't about to just sit there and wait for death. She shattered the chains and charged straight at Semiramis.]

---

[Question: What will be the final outcome of the battle between Mordred and Semiramis?]

[A: Mordred is defeated, but Sisigou survives.]

[B: Mordred is defeated, and Sisigou dies in battle.]

[C: Mordred defeats Semiramis.]

[D: Sieg and the others arrive to assist and defeat Semiramis together.]

[E: Mordred and Semiramis perish together.]

[F: The battle is interrupted.]

[Please answer within one minute. Failure to answer in time will be considered forfeiting.]

---

Tohsaka Rin: "So, it's Mordred's turn to fight the Empress now?"

Kayneth: "Judging purely by strength, Mordred's chances of winning seem quite low."

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "Indeed. Semiramis is highly skilled in magecraft and commands deadly poisons. The odds aren't in Mordred's favor."

Mordred: "Oi! Stop underestimating me, you bastards!"

Mordred: "I pick C! I'm definitely winning this!"

[Ding! Mordred's answer is incorrect. 1 Saint Quartz has been deducted.]

Semiramis: "Haha, it seems things aren't going your way."

Mordred: "Shut up, old hag! That doesn't mean you win either!"

Waver: "If Mordred loses, the key question is whether Sisigou survives or not."

Sisigou: "Huh… so I make it out alive, huh?"

Chihiro: "I choose B."

[Ding! Congratulations to Chihiro for answering correctly. You have obtained 3 Saint Quartz.]

Sisigou: "Oh, so you actually have little faith in me, kid? I like to think I value my life."

Chihiro: "That's when you're on your own, though. You didn't have anyone to protect back then."

Sisigou: "Yeah..."

Mordred: "What a dumbass! You've already lost an eye, why the hell aren't you running?!"

Sisigou: "Haha, abandoning my allies just isn't my style."

Mordred: "...Someone like me isn't worth that."

Sisigou: "That's not up to you to decide."

---

[Time's up. Resuming video.]

[Facing the incoming chains, Mordred rushed forward without hesitation.]

[Unfortunately, her two consecutive attacks were easily neutralized by Semiramis, without her even having to move.]

["Your killing intent is as mild as a summer breeze. Attack me with hatred, or you'll just be tortured to death."]

[Semiramis observed Mordred like a cat playing with a mouse.]

["Shut up!"]

[Mordred attacked again, this time using the wall as a springboard to accelerate toward Semiramis at supersonic speed, hoping to win with sheer velocity.]

[But once again—she failed.]

[With just a casual flick of Semiramis's fingers, countless chains burst from all directions, effortlessly intercepting Mordred's attack.]

[This time, there were over a hundred chains.]

[Caught off guard, Mordred was snared by the ankle.]

[The next moment, she was yanked into the air and slammed into the ceiling.]

[The ceiling was painted with an illusionary lake, and upon impact, Mordred actually sank into it.]

[Fortunately, she reacted instantly, activating Mana Burst to break free and land safely on the ground.]

---

Waver: "Forget about winning—she's just getting played with."

Mordred: "Tch, how infuriating…"

Lancelot: "Mordred is a pure warrior. Against a Caster with this many tricks, she's at a severe disadvantage, especially in her opponent's own domain."

Tohsaka Rin: "My opponent is an Assassin, though."

Lancelot: "...Right. My mistake."

---

[Mordred's breathing grew heavier. After three consecutive failed attacks, she had already expended a considerable amount of stamina.]

[Not to mention, the poison was spreading inside her body.]

[Even though she had put on her helmet in time, she had still inhaled some of the toxic gas. While it wasn't enough to cripple her immediately, it was gradually taking a toll, a slow, creeping pain spreading through her entire body.]

[Semiramis: "What's wrong, Rebel Knight? Having trouble breathing?"

Mordred: "I heard that filth attracts rats. Looks like we're seeing the same thing here, a disgusting, scurrying little rat."

Semiramis: "Oh? Then what does that make you? A fly that won't stop buzzing?"]

["No, rather—"]

["You're just a bunch of noisy pests."]

[Mordred charged at Semiramis once more, but this time, a massive fish suddenly appeared before her, its gaping maw opening wide to swallow her whole.]

Fiore: "She can summon monsters too?!"

Gordes: "This is ridiculous! How is this still an Assassin?!"

[Mordred had no time to dodge and was chomped down upon. Her armor groaned under the immense pressure of the fish's bite.]

[This was no ordinary creature, it was an ancient divine fish, a monstrous beast that only Semiramis could summon, given that her mother was a fish goddess.]

[Semiramis: "Hmm. Yes, a mere fly indeed."]

["This damn fish is annoying!"]

[Enraged, Mordred gripped her sword in one hand and thrust her free hand straight into the divine fish's eye, digging it out with sheer brute force.]

[The divine fish shrieked in pain, releasing its grip. Taking advantage of the moment, Mordred rammed her sword straight into its empty eye socket, killing it instantly.]

[Such raw brutality even stunned Semiramis.]

["You're just as savage as a Berserker."]

[And yet, even after all that, Mordred's fourth attempt to reach Semiramis had still failed.]

---

Tohsaka Rin: "That was… a little extreme."

Mordred: "This is a fight to the death. Who cares if it's brutal, as long as I win?"

First Emperor: "Indeed. Just like on the battlefield, as long as it kills the enemy, any method is fair game."

Waver: "But that fish… Semiramis can only summon one, right? Or—"

Semiramis: "Haha. What do you think?"

Mordred: "Damn it…"

---

[Mordred felt a creeping numbness in her legs, her nerves were starting to succumb to the poison.]

[The toxin continued spreading, and for the first time, Mordred no longer had the energy to joke.]

[Mordred: "Tch! You sure are a noisy woman!"]

[Mordred gritted her teeth, glaring at Semiramis.]

["Look at you, so smug just because you managed to poison me. And if you keep up that attitude, I'll take your head off with my next strike!"]

[Semiramis: "I see, you do bark. How delightful. I like you—I like you very much."]

["I think I'll rip off your arms and legs, crush your throat, and keep you as my pet."]

[This woman was pure evil.]

[But Mordred had already made up her mind.]

[There was only one way out of this situation.]

[She had to unleash her Noble Phantasm.]
