"If other Psychics tried this, they wouldn't even scratch the surface in a day!" she thought. "And here you are, mastering it in an afternoon. What more do you want?!"

If Gardevoir could speak her mind freely, she would have scolded Evan thoroughly.

After getting a decent handle on Calm Mind, Evan took a break to check Isla's and the others' progress for the day.

Over the next few days, Evan balanced training his Psychic control with managing the store. He also handled several new orders, most of which involved custom energy cubes. If Isla and the others could handle the requests, he let them take over. Otherwise, he stepped in to teach them.

As time passed, the Pokémon at the breeding house continued to grow stronger. The Growlithe, hatched early on, had also begun its training.

Through perseverance and guidance, Evan's efforts were not in vain. At the very least, he had gained control over his Elite-level mental power—a major breakthrough.

Human spiritual power may have its ceiling, but Evan is far from reaching that limit. His potential continues to grow.

It must be said that Gardevoir's method isn't particularly effective. Evan now shares a Mega Connection with Gardevoir throughout the day. This doesn't cause any issues, even when prolonged. However, the Mega Stone in Evan's hand shines constantly, requiring occasional breaks. Through this mental connection, both Evan and Gardevoir are becoming stronger. Not only has Evan improved, but Gardevoir has also successfully advanced to the championship level.

Strangely, Gardevoir's gaze towards Evan seemed unusual at times, and she would blush occasionally. This left Evan a bit confused. Could Gardevoir have peculiar thoughts about him? He quickly dismissed the notion, considering that Gardevoir is a Pokémon, and decided not to dwell on it.

Evan's good mood persisted after mastering his training. If he continues at this pace, he's confident in fully mastering his mental powers.

As Evan wrapped up his training, Charmeleon, training nearby, suddenly cried out. Evan turned to see Charmeleon enveloped in a bright white light. His eyes lit up.

"Are you evolving?" Evan exclaimed, rushing over.

"Pika-Pikachu!"

"Luraaa!"

Both Pikachu and Lurantis reacted excitedly. Charmeleon, seeing its master approach, resolved to give its all. Its body began to grow, wings unfolded from its back, and it became significantly larger. In mere moments, it had outgrown an average Charizard. It stood one-third taller than a typical Charizard, which measures around 1.7 meters. At two meters tall, Evan now towered beside a truly imposing Charizard.

This Charizard was no bulky giant—it was a powerhouse. Once its evolution was complete, Charizard let out a resounding roar.

"Roaaar!"

A blazing flame erupted from its mouth, soaring into the sky and startling the surrounding Pokémon. Charizard lowered its head, revealing sharp golden eyes that exuded dominance. Any Pokémon meeting its gaze felt the intensity of its presence. In this moment, Charizard resembled a king of flames.

Evan admired his partner. This Charizard, while appearing similar to others, had more defined edges, larger wings, and a grander frame. When it fully spread its wings, it likely reached four or five meters in height. Evan gave a thumbs up.

"Amazing! Charizard, congratulations!"

Hearing this, Charizard beamed with joy.

"Chaaar!"

Its happiness was unmistakable. Evan stepped forward, patting Charizard affectionately. Not long ago, it had been just an egg under his care. Now, it had evolved into this powerful form, even reaching the Peak level of strength. Despite its growth, Charizard nuzzled against Evan.

Though its body had changed, its personality remained the same. It was still the Charmander that Evan had nurtured in his room. Unlike typical Charizards, which are known for their fiery tempers and disobedience, Evan's Charizard was docile and easygoing. It didn't shy away from water and even enjoyed baths, a rarity among its kind. Evan's connection with Charizard had truly created an exceptional bond.

Although it lacks the ability to store water, Charizard is unbothered by it, setting it apart from others of its kind. Its strength is remarkable.

Gazing at the towering Charizard before him, Evan suddenly had an idea.

"Wait here," he instructed Charizard before teleporting away.

In a flash, Evan reappeared in his room. He retrieved a Mega Stone arm badge and teleported back to Charizard's side.

"Charizard, now that you've evolved," Evan began, holding up the arm badge. "I'm giving this Mega Stone to you."

He approached Charizard and carefully placed the arm badge on its left arm. Charizard's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Char!"

Its gratitude was unmistakable. Evan smiled warmly.

"All right, buddy. Let's head back for dinner," he said.

"Now that you're a Charizard, starting today, you'll get top-level energy cubes. The advanced ones won't do much for you anymore."

With that, Evan led Charizard back home. Pikachu and the rest of the Pokémon eagerly followed.

When they returned to the breeding house, Isla and the others stepped out of the workshop just in time to see Charizard. Their eyes widened in amazement.

"Huh? It evolved?" Isla exclaimed.

"Wow, Charizard looks so strong!" Daniel added.

"Absolutely dominating!" Michael chimed in.

The trio's admiration brought a proud glow to Charizard, who greeted them with a rumbling acknowledgment. Isla and the others gathered around, marveling at its new form. Its golden, commanding eyes left a deep impression.

After a moment, Evan handed Charizard a box filled with top-tier energy cubes, much larger than a standard one.

"Here, you'll eat these from now on," Evan explained. "I had Machamp bring these for you. Remember to take them with you when it's time to eat, okay?"

Charizard nodded confidently, showing it understood.

With that settled, Evan and Isla left for the orphanage, planning to have dinner there.

Meanwhile, Evan's Pokémon huddled together to discuss their next move. With Charizard now evolved, Pidgeot growing stronger, and Lurantis on the verge of a breakthrough, they decided it was the perfect time to challenge the next Gym.

Charizard's evolution marked a turning point, and they were determined to make the most of it.
