Belle wasn't having the best of days at this point. After Leslie's walkie had cut out, he felt a pang of intense fear run through him and he could only stand there wondering what had happened. When Avery checked in on the walkie, he decided it would be best for him to go and find Leslie himself, so after talking with Avery, that's what he set off to do.
It wasn't hard to follow his friend's path, but upon arrival, he saw something that almost made him sigh out loud. He found one of the ritual sites, and his friend was completely tied up against a tree. There was a person sitting guard on the ground, a young man with a low ponytail, he was watching Leslie with stern eyes as if he was going to run off.
Nobody else was in sight, but Belle made sure to hide just in case someone was nearby. The young man seemed fully focused on the captive Leslie, it would be easy to surprise him and take him out, but Belle had a feeling that the man was more aware than he seemed and dashed that idea from his head.
He started racing through the plans in his mind, eventually finding one that worked. He would slip into the alternate ghost dimension for a few seconds, and in those seconds, he would release Leslie. At that point, they could team up against the mystery man and take him out.
Of course, Belle was patting himself on the back for actually making a solid plan for once in his life when tragedy had to strike. It happened as soon as he slipped into the ghost dimension. A ghost was floating near the young man and as soon as Belle stepped into view, she turned toward the unexpected intruder. Without a second of doubt she immediately ran over and kicked him so hard he slipped out of the ghost dimension and slammed against a tree.
"You've got to be kidding me." Belle coughs. His back is most certainly bruised and now the young man was looking straight at him, his cover was blown. Belle grabs out his axe, just in time as well, as a mysterious invisible attack suddenly smacked into the axe.
He looked around for any sign of where it came from, but got no clues, the only way he could tell an attack was coming was the slight shiver of the air right before it hit, leaving him scraping by so as not to get hit.
"Be careful! He's got some kind of invisible ghost under his control!" Leslie shouts. His words make Belle think back to the ghost woman in the ghost dimension. That's it! She was attacking him from the ghost dimension, in that split second where the air shifts she's striking through the dimensions.
The young man is still watching Leslie like a hawk, paying no attention to the fight behind me. Belle counts this as a blessing for if he had to deal with both of them he probably wouldn't have made it this far. Thinking so, he waits for the ghost woman to strike again. He waits, and waits, and waits, and then, there! The second the air shifts slightly, he uses his paralyzing ability.
The hand is stopped midair and Belle grabs onto it, pulling with all his might and dragging the woman out of the ghost dimension. She has long black hair and bandages covering her entire body. She has an expression of shock on her face, but before she can slip back into the ghost dimension, Belle pulls out the gun, aiming it straight at her head. He pulls the trigger, completely obliterating her.
The man finally shifts his attention from Leslie, his face turning bright red with anger as his face twists into a grimace.
"What have you done?" The question is asked with a deadly calm, directly contrasting the intense anger on his face.
"Uhm?" Belle suddenly feels a bit awkward.
"That was my girlfriend you bastard! What have you done!?" The young man screams and charges. Belle has no idea if she was his girlfriend before or after death, but either way, he now had a charging ex on his hands. He tossed the gun back into the system before grabbing out the axe again.
After the fight with the ghost woman, he was prepared for the young man to be just as strong. Therefore, he did not adjust his strength when he brought the axe down on his head, and the young man smacked chin-first into the ground.
"Oh." Belle lets out a noise of disappointment. He had expected a bit more than that. The young man was now foaming at the mouth on the ground so he quietly stepped away from him.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to get captured but they saw me and the next thing I knew I was getting picked up and tossed by an invisible ghost." Leslie babbles as Belle reaches over to untie him.
"It's fine, I was worried when the walkie cut out, but luckily everything turned out alright." Belle sighs as he finishes untying him and Leslie drops to the ground.
"Besides that, I hear about some really evil plan to sacrifice a bunch of people and summon a big ghost or whatever," Leslie reveals.
"Hm, it should be fine, I sent Avery to look for the other ritual sites so as long as we destroy this one their plan shouldn't come to fruition." Leslie nods along at Belle's words.
"Then, there's only one thing left to do!" Leslie exclaims, turning to the ritual site.
They leave once everything is properly destroyed. Belle reaches for his walkie, but when he grabs it he realizes he had accidentally turned it off earlier.
"I hope nothing happened to Avery while it was off." He says, rubbing the back of his head.
A Few Minutes Ago
"Pick up you bastard! I need helppp!" Avery was running around like a headless chicken as an invisible figure destroyed tree after tree behind her.
"I'm going to kill him the next time I see him!" She shouts.
