"Can you really create a people finder just by typing in their name?"
"I guess it could be possible even without committing crimes. It's just that I invested so much time in this program. I'd really hate to leave, and I need it."
"What an idiot I was. This idea could make me rich."
"No matter, I can help." Daisy said with a smile. Her hand touched mine, and the girl was so happy and innocent that she didn't realize I was manipulating her.
Skye's eyes seemed so bright they lit up her face.
"Of course, I could use the help. What do you want as payment?" I replied as Daisy realized something and pulled her hand back, her cheeks flushed.
Skye's behavior was like the reaction of an embarrassed girl interacting with the boy she liked.
Her expression, her reactions, were something that would excite me if it weren't for the fact that something inside me knew I was manipulating her and created this scenario on purpose.
'This girl is too pure,' I thought, reaffirming my conviction. I have a mission I set for myself, and I don't want to fail.
I don't want to end up like so many powerful beings, dying at the hands of weaklings because they have a team and I'm alone.
Just thinking that this girl had a lot of sex in the series, more than the other Marvel heroines, makes me start to calm down.
'One day she'll be a very libertine adult. This isn't taking advantage of her, absolutely.' While I convince myself, I look at Skye and speak.
'I'm about to rent a place. The computer will arrive in the afternoon. That will be my base of operations. You can help me. The search program works by entering reference data.' I told the girl, gathering my things to leave the internet cafe with her, explaining in a low voice to prevent anyone else from hearing our conversation.
'Yes, that would be incredible. You can count on me. I'll do my best,' she said, acting excited and full of conviction. "Excellent." I replied, typing something on the keyboard. "What are you waiting for? Let's go to your base," Skye said anxiously.
"Wait, I have to save what I did. I used the computer for 30 minutes. I have to save everything."
"Um, okay," she replied reluctantly.
"Damn, if I wanted to steal girls, that would be great. How terrifying." I thought as I left the internet cafe with a girl I just met.
I took the girl to the only place I know that doesn't have people living there.
We walked through the streets full of passersby who remained oblivious to what was happening around them.
Skye walked beside me, and no one seemed to care; they just saw a couple walking side by side.
"If I were an adult with an Asian-American girl, would they think she was a whore or maybe her uncle?"
Several thoughts led me to the conclusion that my face and age were convenient.
'I could do a lot of things right now since I'm young, but the important thing is to achieve my immortality. On the other hand, infiltrating or courting young girls who will later gain some level of power could benefit me in the future.'
Watching Skye walk past an ice cream stand, I decided to buy us each one, and we continued walking.
Looking at Skye, happy and starting to blush, I can't help but think she might be falling in love.
After all, young girls easily fall for handsome boys their own age.
'My legion of Black Widows might not be enough. I need girls to fight on the front lines, but who? She-Hulk? No, that girl, impossible. Captain Marvel, there isn't one, but...'
We arrived, so I walked, taking Skye by the arm to keep her from continuing without me.
'Do you rent a place here?' Skye asked, looking at the entrance to the luxurious building.
'Something like that,' I said as we entered, and no one stopped us.
Daisy pulled a small suitcase on wheels, and I opened the elevator with an altered card.
'The place isn't mine, and I doubt Stark would ever use it, but to say it or not to say it.' As I questioned myself, I smiled at the girl, and she smiled awkwardly.
'Wow, how easy it was to avoid answering.' Skye forgot what she'd asked and escorted me up to a room in the elevator.
The guy bought the apartment once because he didn't want to go to a hotel to sleep with a girl, and it's been empty ever since.
Security cameras are everywhere, but no one will ask you if you have a card that activates the elevator.
Daisy and I got in, and we entered the place.
'I couldn't hack the entrance, but it was easy to create a copy when Tony missed it. That guy doesn't take care of anything. Creating another copy by rearranging the material was easy.'
My card worked, and I entered the apartment.
'Wow! This is so expensive,' Daisy said, surprised by the large, spacious, but above all, expensive place.
'Yeah, I really don't know how anyone can afford this.' When I said that, Skay turned her face to look at me.
I took off my sweatshirt, and Skay looked at my arms, and I forgot what I was going to ask.
Seeing Skye's quick turn to look at me, I suspected she was going to ask, "Who owns this place?" So I decided to tell her the truth.
I tried to avoid lying to her as much as possible.
"It's not mine. I actually copied the entry card from one of the hotel's oldest and grumpiest tenants. Then I created a fake entrance by cutting the door and making it wider. I didn't set off any alarms. That old man's card actually works with this door."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"It's not yours?"
"No."
"What's wrong with the owner? He won't come?"
" "I doubt it. The owner is Tony Stark. He bought this apartment one day to sleep with a girl or two, I don't remember. The guy forgot about this place in four years. There's no maintenance so it's a bit dusty. There's internet, but we can't touch it or anything technological, but we do have a TV."
"What's that box?" Skye asked, looking at several black boxes piled up in the apartment's living room that didn't seem to fit with the decor.
Right next to it was a desk.
"Come with me," I said, showing her a room.
"This seemed to be the library. I have no idea why this place has one, but I modified it and created a small desk with several monitors. Do you like it?"
"I love it," Skye replied, amazed by how modern everything looks.
Skye touched the desk and then the computer, and her face lost its smile.
