It was a case of perfect timing because as soon as I had brought everything into my space, the door to Sadie's apartment opened, and the first group of survivors filed in.
The majority of them had a bag slung over their backs, but a few had blankets and other things wrapped in a bundle in their arms. I think Colt's rules for what they could bring were considered to be more of a suggestion than an absolute. Meh… it really didn't matter to me.
"You can't take all that," snarled Colt as one woman approached the window with three rolling suitcases, a bag on her back, a bag on her front, and multiple grocery bags in her other hand. I was really impressed with just how much she was able to carry, given the fact that she was also in skin-tight jeans, a bright yellow tank top, and bright yellow stilettos.
If it was me, I wouldn't be able to walk three steps without falling flat on my face.
