I watched from behind the man of the hour as everyone in the room turned to him in fear. "See," I pressed, my voice dancing around him. "If you think that Tank will obey just anyone, stop having the poor cannon fodder playing with him. Why don't you step up and show off? I think we'd all like to see what you have."
Catching a few nodding heads, I couldn't help but smile brighter. Jonas was like a worm on the hook. The more he struggled, the weaker he would become until someone came up and ate him.
"Does anyone else want to try?" asked the Commander as he looked around the room. Not a single one of his men and women would raise their heads to look at him. "Fine," he sighed after a moment. "I won't force the issue. Go back to your accommodations. Those on the schedule, get back to work and if you were on free time, go enjoy it."
Before he could actually say the word 'dismissed,' the door was already opened, and people were quickly filing out.
