Chapter 2. "You're mine to kill."

In the midst of the summer months, two teenage boys lay on the ground beneath the shade of a large tree with low hanging branches.
One was tall with platinum blonde hair and an angelic face of small and delicate features, his snow-white skin marked only with a light spread of pale freckles across his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose. At 15, he had already lost the marks of childish roundness, his deep blue eyes often appearing cold and restless.
The other boy, with ebony black hair loose around his shoulders, seemed plain by comparison, with a straight nose and pale olive skin, his hands calloused and marked with signs of heavy labour. But his almond-shaped eyes were bright and vibrant, of a curious emerald green that matched the leaves of the tree above them.
"Jinnie, baby...why did you do it?" Ha-Joon sighed, his head resting on Noe's chest as they lay in the tall grass by the lake.
