Floating in the air the severed head started the Rakta Avishek while reciting the Shiv Tandav Stotra.
The first drop of his blood came out of his tongue and fall on the Shiva Linga and at the same time at Kailash Mata Parvati saw a drop of blood fallen on the hairs of God Shiv from the sky.
Mata Parvati became very shocked after seeing this ominous and horrifying scene unfolding before her eyes.
But soon she saw many drops of blood started to fall on the body of her husband God Shiv and following this the entire sky above Kailash turned blood red.
Ganesh and the Shiv ganas after witnessing the blood red sky above Kailash rushed to meet God Shiv to ask about this matter.
But just like Mata Parvati, Ganesh and the Shiv ganas became very shocked and terrified after witnessing the blood falling on the head of their God.
In a dire state of horror they all came to the side of Mata Parvati and told her about the situation of the sky above Kailash.
And after that they all asked Mata Parvati about this blood that is falling on Mahadev. After hearing them all Mata Parvati closed her eyes.
Using her divine divyadristhi Mata Parvati searched the entire cosmos for the source of this blood that is falling on God Shiv.
And soon she found the source from where this blood is falling on Mahadev. Mata Parvati saw the blood is coming out the severed head of Ravan about which Mahadev has told earlier.
The intensity and pureness of Ravan's devotion mesmerized Mata Parvati who once again remembered the moment when Ravan had tried to lift up Kailash mountain but Mahadev had stopped him from doing so.
And after that how in his pain and suffering he learnt about the true devotion and started to worship Mahadev by creating the Shiv Tandav Stotra.
And now after watching the severed head of Ravan reciting the same Stotra made Mata Parvati mesmerized by his devotion but along with this she is also feeling the pain that this severed head is enduring.
For some reason this pain of the severed head of Ravan brought tears into the eyes of Mata Parvati.
And so she opened her eyes. With that Shri Ganesh asked his mother about why she is crying and from where this blood is coming from.
Looking at her son, Mata Parvati replied, "Putra this blood and the tear of mine are the result of the same person."
Shri Ganesha: "Mata what do you mean ?"
Mata Parvati: "Putra this blood is of the severed head of Ravan who is doing Rakhta Avishek of your father. This blood falling on your father is his and the tears that fall from my eyes was because of the devotion and pain that I saw of that severed head of Ravan."
After listening to all of the things from Mata Parvati, Shri Ganesh and the Shiv ganas understood everything that is happening around Mahadev and Kailash.
With passing day, week, month and year, the intensity of Ravan's devotion and pain are increasing reaching and resounding in the entire Kailash mountain.
And after many years the intensity of his devotion became so strong that it began to shake the entire Kailash mountain and after some more years his devotion started to shake the entire universe.
Lord Brahma felt this untimely shaking of the universe which has the potential of bringing the universe towards destruction.
So he immediately teleported himself to Kailash mountain to have a discussion with Mahadev about the matter and cause of the matter about which he is all too well aware of.
After he reached there, Lord Brahma found Mahadev in deep meditation while most of his body covered in blood.
And after seeing this Lord Brahma used his divyadristhi and found that the entire universe has been flooded by blood except for some parts of the earth.
This situation that Lord Brahma witnessed terrified him to his core while the continuous recital of the Shiv Tandav Stotra from Ravan is falling in his ears.
To save the universe from this deadly and dangerously devastating devotion of Ravan, Lord Brahma began to pray before Mahadev as a means to break his meditation.
Lord Brahma: "Please open your eyes Mahadev. Protect this universe Mahadev. Please open your eyes. Please open your eyes..."
More than anything else the prayers and recital of Ravan finally brought Mahadev out of his meditation and with that Mahadev saw Lord Brahma standing before.
After seeing Lord Brahma, Mahadev stood up and held his trishul and then Mahadev stomped the end of his trishul on the ground which he did to stabilize the entire universe.
After stabilizing the universe Mahadev looked Lord Brahma and said, "My Bhakt is waiting for me. I am going to meet him now."
Smile and happiness are the only things that are on the face of Mahadev but Lord Brahma became very tensed because he knew that Ravan can demand anything from Mahadev.
But before Lord Brahma could have said anything Mahadev disappeared from Kailash and the on the next split second Mahadev appeared inside the cave where the severed head of Ravan is performing the Raktha Avishek in which only a few last drops of his blood are remaining.
Looking at his devotee or to say Bhakta, Mahadev became very happy but the pain and suffering of Ravan also hit Mahadev that made Mahadev to feel his pain as well.
So to completely remove the pain of his Bhakta, Mahadev emitted golden rays from his eyes that completely healed the severed head of Ravan.
The blood that the severed head have lost began to regenerate inside the head thus completely healed him.
Seeing the pain and suffering of his Bhakta completely gone Mahadev became happy and the same feeling of being completely healed was feeled by Ravan as well.
And once he felt that, he opened his eyes looked around him and found Mahadev standing before him and after seeing his God, Ravan became very emotional and soon the severed head moved towards feet of Mahadev and laid down on the feet of his God.
