Chapter 272 - Chapter 272: Level 12 Iron Smith.

Chapter 272: Level 12 Iron Smith.

Unlike the broken ribs.

The skeletons with attached arms and legs had slightly uneven limb lengths.

But the difference wasn't too significant; the skeletons seemed capable of matching suitable bones on their own.

There were no severe mismatches.

"These skeletons can repair their bodies now?" Li Yanhong finally managed to say.

"Yes, they can be repaired to a certain extent," Wu Heng replied.

Li Yanhong nodded and didn't say much more.

In this neighborhood, about half of the skeletons were damaged.

She had previously thought that Wu Heng was just keeping these retired soldiers off the battlefield, unwilling to scrap them and letting them take up space.

Now it seemed Wu Heng had kept them knowing their bodies could be repaired.

Wu Heng continued to look at the bodies on the ground.

[Raise Corpse] and [Raise Skeleton] were clearly ineffective.

After thinking for a moment, he took out the 'Spinal Staff' and cast [Plague Insect Spell], causing the body to swell.

With a few bangs, five fist-sized spotted spiders emerged.

"Let's continue clearing the zombies," Wu Heng said.

"Alright, I'll bring the bus over."

Shortly after, Li Yanhong drove the bus to the entrance.

Wu Heng boarded the bus, followed by the skeleton army and a large number of damaged skeletons.

They advanced along the road.

They passed through the cleared area.

Ahead, a large horde of corpses appeared.

They charged forward, roaring angrily and baring their teeth.

The skeleton ranks held formation, and volleys of arrows and iron spears fell like a giant iron net from the sky.

Many zombies fell, becoming a sea of corpses.

After the ranged attacks.

The zombie horde collided with the skeleton army, and a fierce battle erupted.

The sound of roars and weapons clashing echoed throughout the area.

When the last zombie was pierced by a spear,

the chaotic battlefield suddenly fell silent.

The position where both sides had fought formed a wall of bodies half a man high.

Dirty blood pooled, forming a crimson stream.

Wu Heng walked up from the back.

"Damaged skeletons, move forward," Wu Heng ordered.

The skeleton ranks shifted, and the damaged skeletons in the rear slowly moved forward.

A few skeletons missing their lower halves struggled to crawl ahead.

Once they had all gathered.

Wu Heng cast [Bone Transplantation], a dark halo spread, and the damaged skeletons plunged into the pile of corpses.

They began searching for the bodies they needed.

One by one, the skeletons completed their bodies and rejoined the ranks.

With this one action, more than half of the damaged skeletons regained their combat capabilities.

Wu Heng looked at the scattered bodies on the ground and continued casting [Raise Skeleton]; hundreds of skeletons stood up again.

These were not whole bodies transformed but were skeletons made from leftover bones after disassembly.

The transformed skeletons.

After finishing [Raise Skeleton], Wu Heng continued casting [Plague Insect Spell], and the remaining flesh spawned a mass of spiders.

Li Yanhong's skin crawled as she watched.

"Clean up the battlefield, collect all the arrows and spears," Wu Heng ordered.

A large number of skeletons began to move.

They started cleaning up the battlefield.

Once the collection was complete, Wu Heng decided not to advance further.

He got back on the bus and led the skeletons back to the bus station.

Bus station, warehouse.

Wu Heng loaded some photovoltaic panels and parts, then summoned a few skeletons with the unlocked [Mechanical Mastery] skill.

Li Yanhong said, "I've advertised the sale of crossbows and armor from the base in the region, crossbows are priced at 10 grams of gold each, and armor sets at 12 grams."

10 grams wasn't particularly expensive.

Previously, Ma Zhiyong had offered two grenade launchers and several grenades, which she hadn't planned to trade.

The goal was to give the shelters the ability to fight against zombies.

That's why the prices were set this low.

"Alright, I have no issues with the price. I'll bring a batch over in the next couple of days, and you can sell them directly," Wu Heng said.

"Okay." Li Yanhong nodded.

The two stood at the warehouse entrance, chatting for a while.

They then went their separate ways to handle their respective tasks.

Back on Gold-Silver Island.

Wu Heng led the skeletons downstairs.

He saw the two women preparing dinner in the kitchen.

"Master, dinner will be ready soon," Minnie said with a smile.

"No rush!"

Wu Heng walked to the courtyard and took out all the photovoltaic panels.

He instructed the electrician skeletons where to place the panels.

The mansion wasn't small, so the power supply should be substantial.

The skeletons climbed onto the roof and began installing the photovoltaic panels, while Wu Heng returned to the dining room to have dinner.

After dinner, Wu Heng took the two women to train in the courtyard.

The effects of the [Instructor] sword were evident; after a few consecutive days of training, the muscle stretching pain was no longer felt.

The movements were visibly precise.

Andviel and Minnie also trained nearby.

As night fell,

the three stopped training.

Minnie pulled Wu Heng aside and whispered mysteriously, "Master, come with me."

She led Wu Heng to the third-floor bathroom.

He thought Minnie was taking him to bathe, but instead saw a large round bathtub in the center.

It was spacious enough for not just two but three or even four people.

"Vie and I pooled our money to buy it. Now we can all bathe together." Minnie snuggled his arm into her chest.

Wu Heng glanced at Andviel, whose face turned red as she lowered her head.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Wu Heng chuckled, grabbing Minnie's training top and pulling it off.

He swiftly removed her top.

Revealing her fair, pinkish skin.

"Master, the water isn't ready yet." Minnie said shyly, hugging her shoulders.

Wu Heng called out to the skeletons outside, "Go prepare the water."

The skeletons went downstairs to fetch the water.

Wu Heng grabbed the fleeing Andviel, "Today, it's time to discipline the fox girl…"

"Yay!" Minnie cheered, helping to restrain the disobedient little fox.

Soon, the bathtub was filled with water.

Wu Heng held both women on either side, enjoying their soft curves.

The next day, at the Snake Emblem Consortium.

Wu Heng sat in the reception room.

The staff brought refreshments.

Wu Heng took out his emblem and handed it over, saying, "Check if there's any news on my commission."

"Certainly, sir."

Shortly after, a man in a fitted suit walked in, returned the emblem, and said softly, "Sir, your commission has been completed; we've collected three bodies of special professions."

Wu Heng raised an eyebrow.

The efficiency here was much higher; it had only been a few days, and they already had three.

Hopefully, it wasn't like Rentam City, where they killed them fresh.

"Alright, bring them in so I can check."

"Of course, sir."

The man gave instructions outside.

Soon, the door opened again, and three coffins, two large and one small, were carried in.

The coffins were placed in the center of the reception room.

The man said, "Open them."

The pallbearers opened the coffins.

Wu Heng got up and went to take a closer look.

The first body he saw was a stout figure.

A dwarf!

Judging by the size and the bushy, mottled beard, it was clearly a dwarf.

The man's introduction began at this point.

"Devont, Dwarf, 54 years old, died in a brawl, Level 12 Iron Smith."
