Chapter 270: Are You Full?
Leveled up!
Reached Level 10 while fighting the Warhammer Gang in Rentam City.
Participated in a few battles since then, and today, finally leveled up again.
Wu Heng glanced at the battlefield, confirming there were no issues, then checked his attributes and feats.
[Attributes: Strength 34, Agility 28, Constitution 37, Intelligence 34, Perception 22, Charisma 27.]
The two attribute points from leveling up were added to Intelligence and Perception.
Intelligence was now on par with Strength.
He continued to check the newly unlocked feat.
[Unlocked Feat: Spellcasting Acceleration.]
[Spellcasting Acceleration]: Your Intelligence and Spirit have significantly increased, allowing you to perform more complex spell operations in a shorter time.
The effect of [Spellcasting Acceleration] was literal: it increased casting speed.
For a mage, even a necromancer, this was an extremely practical feat.
His strength had stepped up a tier.
After checking his attributes and feats, Wu Heng refocused on the battlefield.
The relentless horde of rotting corpses and skeletons were still entangled in combat.
The number of zombies had already been reduced by more than half, leaving only a portion still frenziedly attacking.
Wu Heng glanced at the mutated skeletons beside him, "You guys go too, finish the fight quickly."
The mutated skeletons charged forward.
They leapt high into the air from a distance.
With loud thuds, they landed directly in the midst of the zombie horde.
Like out-of-control trucks, they rampaged through the zombies, their arms swinging wildly as they knocked large numbers of zombies flying.
The zombies fell like petals scattering, landing on the sides of the road.
The skeletons then formed ranks and pushed forward, like a meat grinder, clearing out the remaining bodies.
…
The battle ended.
The entire road was paved with zombie corpses.
"Clean up the battlefield!" Wu Heng commanded again.
The skeletons began moving the bodies, while others collected the scattered arrows and iron spears.
Soon, the bodies were piled up on one side.
Wu Heng took out his staff and began casting [Battlefield of the Dead].
A large number of skeletons rose from the pile of corpses and joined the ranks.
Once most of the arrows and spears were collected, Wu Heng ordered them to push forward.
…
They fought from morning until dusk.
The last wave of zombies was killed, and the entire road was covered with bodies.
The skeletons started clearing the battlefield, and Li Yanhong, wearing a mask, said, "I'll have the convoy come over, and we'll start scavenging for supplies in the next two days."
"Alright!"
Wu Heng began casting his skills, raising one wave of skeletons after another from the bodies.
Soon, the convoy arrived.
Li Yanhong started assigning tasks.
They first scavenged the shops along the road and planned to bring more people tomorrow for a thorough sweep.
After giving the orders,
Wu Heng boarded Li Yanhong's bus to return.
Back at the bus station, Li Yanhong went off to handle her affairs.
Wu Heng used the portal to return to Gold-Silver Island.
…
He walked out of the room.
The sound of Minnie cooking came from the kitchen.
Seeing Wu Heng come out, Minnie smiled immediately, "Master, please wait a moment, dinner is almost ready."
"No rush, I'll take a bath first."
"I'll go prepare the bathwater for you." Minnie said, wiping her hands.
Wu Heng patted her head, "No need, I can handle it myself."
He enjoyed a comfortable bath in the bathroom.
When he came out, Andviel was wearing a loose, casual outfit, her white legs curled up on the sofa as she read through some documents.
"Master!" Andviel called softly.
Wu Heng nodded, sat next to her, and pulled the fox girl into his arms.
His arm wrapped around her waist, slipping under her shirt to hold her smooth curves.
Andviel blushed, shyly leaning into his embrace, her fluffy tail swaying slightly.
"Is there anything going on with the Guild?" Wu Heng asked.
This was where having an assistant came in handy.
Andviel squirmed slightly and replied, "Not much, the incident with the imprisoned girls involved a few Guild members; they're now under investigation."
"There are Guild members involved?"
"Yes, this incident has caused public outrage on the island, and the Guild is taking it seriously." Andviel said.
Whether it was the Guild or some local security teams,
they couldn't avoid some people taking money to do favors for the nobles.
It wasn't surprising that squad members were implicated.
"Has Squad 3's reward been issued?"
"No." Andviel's voice grew quieter as she nestled further into his embrace.
Then she suddenly remembered something and said, "Oh right, Master, the renovation team sent a message; we can inspect the new house tomorrow."
At this moment, Minnie came in from the kitchen with the dishes.
Seeing the two cuddled together, she teased, "Sister Vie, you must be full already."
Andviel rolled her eyes at her, "Stop talking nonsense!"
"Hehe." Minnie laughed and continued, "What are you and Sister Vie talking about, Master?"
Andviel sat up and said, "The new house is finished. The renovation team notified us that we can inspect it anytime."
"Really? We can finally move in?" Minnie said excitedly.
Wu Heng smiled, "Let's see if we have time tomorrow; we'll inspect it together, and if everything's fine, we'll move in."
"Yay!" Minnie cheered again.
The three then sat down to eat.
They continued discussing the layout of the new house.
And what to plant in the front and back gardens.
…
After dinner.
Wu Heng took the two to the Guild's training room.
It was already quite late, and a few squad members were just leaving as they entered.
Once those people left,
the entire training room was essentially reserved for the three of them.
Minnie continued training hand-to-hand combat with Bagdong, her moves becoming increasingly powerful.
Wu Heng resumed his swordsmanship training with the artifact sword 'Instructor,' his bones cracking with each motion.
Andviel also picked up a sword, practicing alongside him at a distance.
They trained until late into the night and then returned home together.
…
The next day, the three of them went to the Guild together.
Before they could leave to inspect the new house,
news came from Squad 3 that the merits for killing the 'Sharktooth Pirates' leader had been awarded and could be claimed at the front desk.
Wu Heng took the two women directly to the hall.
He asked them to wait while he walked to the front desk.
"Deputy Steward." The front desk staff greeted with a smile.
"I have a Tier 3 merit. Show me the skill books I can exchange for." Wu Heng said directly.
"Please wait a moment." The staff member said, beginning to prepare.
Soon, several skill books were presented in front of him.
Wu Heng looked down at them.
[Animate Objects][Death Cloud][Ice Spike]…[Bone Transplantation][Plague Insect Spell][Death Aura].
