Chapter 95 - Results Of Love (5) The Four Seasons

Eventually, with all the time that has passed, the day came when it was Undine's turn. With Night Silver and Brightness staying with her through the whole ordeal. After what was nothing less than an incredibly excruciatingly painful process, Undine gave birth to a baby boy. He looked mostly human with the minor exceptions of tiny draconic wings sprouting from his back, and a scale like armor covering his heart.

"He's… So…" Brightness teared up, looking at his newborn son. He was thrilled, for this meant he could continue to have more. However, there was something else he noted… "It seems our son has already attuned himself to an element… Interesting. He's going to be quite good with the Earth abilities."

"Brighty, thank you… Thank you for being here, and… Thank you for being with me. I love our son. May he grow into a strong god!" Undine smiled, with her son resting on her chest, nestled in the middle of her breasts. Each one acts like a protective barrier to prevent the boy from rolling off. "You're up next, Sil, and from the looks of it, you're going to have some struggles."

"Pfft, I'm not worried about the pain. I'm just excited for their arrival!" Night Silver said with a large smile, her ears quivering with emotion. "But before that, we need to give this son of ours a name!"

"Hmm, that's right. I wonder what we should call him. Him having an element already… We could use that…" Undine said, thinking about it as she caressed her new son. "I've got it… Your name will be Talam, the young god of earth."

Night Silver smirked at the name, and nodded. Brightness, having been a dragon all his life, had been trying to think of a name. He came up with a few, but none of them were as good as what Undine had thought of. It is a name worthy of a dragon. I like it. So he nodded as well.

What was most surprising was the reaction Talam had. He opened his adorable tiny eyes to see Undine. And with the little control he had, a small happy smile appeared.

"Talam, you like that name don't you?" Undine smiled, with an even larger smile. "My son Talam. I'm your mother, Undine. This here is your other mother, Night Silver. Though people have begun to call her by a different name, Danu. And this here is your father, Brightness, but we call him Brighty." She continued now with the three of their faces pressed together. "You're our son, Talam. Welcome to the family, son, Love you."

Talam giggled that familiar sound of a baby's giggle, then he fell asleep again. Shortly after, Undine fell asleep as well. Giving birth was no easy task, and thus she deserved some rest.

"Mother, please, would you allow us to tend to Aunty while she rests? We would like to repay her for showing us the light." Four women said, with faces full of pleading.

"I don't see why not. I hope she recovers quickly. And with you four helping her, I'm sure she will. Just be sure not to wake our son."

"Yes Mother… We will be very careful."

Several more days went by and… It was clear that Night Silver was about to give birth. It was shocking just how large her belly really was. Of course, she knew the reason behind it… How could she not? She knew exactly what was happening in her body.

I have to wait until Undine can move around, but this really is starting to get a bit into the neighborhood of unbearable. … Oh no…

"Hey there Sil, I'm sorry it took so long to recover. It was quite the experience. And look at this, the four women that watched over me, made this contraption. Isn't it neat? Oh dear…" Undine spoke, walking up to see Night Silver struggling. "Ladies! Danu is going into labor!"

Night Silver managed to get herself inside the same medical center Undine and many others had given birth in. It was a fortunate placement too, as it was right next to the center of the town. Soon this place would become the one place everyone would want to go for such care, after all is there really a better place than the same one where gods and goddesses were born?

With the most experienced women helping out with the delivery, once they realized how severe the situation was it was all hands on deck. Brightness was there holding Night Silver's hand, while Undine placated the people, making sure they didn't interfere with the situation.

After several hours of what could only be described as agony for Night Silver. Four newborn baby girls were welcomed into the world. And while Night Silver laid there, profusely sweating, and breathing heavily while she waited for the nurses to give her, her daughters. She let her lips curl to a smile.

Soon the four baby girls were laid with their mother. Each had a unique aura about them. But they did have a similar feature to their brother, wings. Though their wings were definitely Draconic, they had a much kinder presence.

"All the pain… It was worth it."

Undine, finally getting to come back inside the room noticed the extent of the babies with a shocked and yet joyful expression. "I wish I could have been in here with you. Like you had been for me…"

"Don't worry Undine, I love you. And I know that all that screaming isn't good for our son."

"Yes, so what are you going to name these beautiful daughters of our family? With four of them I have a few ideas. But, I think you should name them."

"This one here is, Earra, for Spring. And Samhra, for Summer. And Fogha, for Autumn. And Geamhra for Winter. Their magic is what gave me the idea. That and they just seem so perfect for it."

Brightness, once again having wanted to get a chance to name his children, sighed inwardly. Damn, those are good names. Perhaps I ought to be around people more frequently. I may discover the secret to coming up with such brilliant names. I do have a good idea though… "Miss, you're the one who designed that wonderful cradle. Would it be possible to make one that can hold 4 as well?"

"Oh? Yes, of course Lord Brightness. I'll get started on a variety straight away!" The Seamstress then ran out with cartoonish speed, excited to get to work.
