Chapter 622 - One Piece

System task completed.

Achievement points rewarded.

With this, Kaguya successfully completed her mission, receiving an A rating. She then smoothly returned to the Main God Space.

However, upon arriving in the empty Main God Space, Kaguya did not see System Loli, nor did she encounter Lan, who had appeared before. The only thing present was the glowing sphere in the center of the space, emitting a soft white light.

Kaguya walked over, stopping in front of the white sphere. Suddenly, a flash of white light appeared, and a projection screen materialized before her.

Next world mission selection:

1. Bleach

2. One Piece

Still caught in the lingering sorrow of farewell, Kaguya was in a somewhat low mood. Without much thought, she casually reached out and selected one at random. To her, every world was the same—it only mattered that she could keep herself busy. Because as long as she was busy, there would be no time to dwell on these emotions.

"You have chosen the world of One Piece," the system's voice remained the same grating metallic tone. "Would you like to proceed immediately?"

"Yes."

"Please wait. Transporting to One Piece."

The sun was shining brightly, the weather was warm and pleasant, and the vast blue sky was cloudless. Looking out into the distance, the rolling waves of the sea shimmered under the sunlight. At the horizon, the azure sky and the deep ocean merged into one, while the slightly salty sea breeze carried a hint of leisure.

At this moment, Kaguya was lying on a small, tattered boat that looked as though it could sink at any moment. Shielding her eyes from the glaring sun with one hand, she turned her head to gaze at the endless expanse of the sea, inwardly complaining that this system was truly unreliable.

This time, Kaguya had arrived in the world of One Piece. Although she wasn't particularly familiar with One Piece and hadn't watched much of it, she still had a general understanding of its storyline.

The reason she chose this world was simple—completing the mission here would reward 300 achievement points, which was three times the amount from other worlds. How could Kaguya resist such an enticing reward?

However, after arriving in this world, all she could see was endless ocean—nothing but sea in every direction. Kaguya had flown in the air for an entire day without spotting a single island. This was absolutely ridiculous.

Even though her stamina was not an issue, staring at the unchanging seascape for over twenty hours was mentally exhausting.

To be honest, Kaguya wasn't particularly fond of the ocean—she had never liked it since childhood. The salty sea air made her feel uncomfortable, and the fish in the sea were far from her preferred food, especially without seasonings.

Moreover, the fish here were bizarrely shaped and downright ugly, making them even less appetizing.

Suddenly, Kaguya, lying on the small boat, sensed something. She quickly sat up and looked into the distance, where a faint shadow had appeared on the horizon.

It was the land she had been longing for.

It was a small island, and the first thing that caught her eye was a towering giant tree that stretched high into the sky. With its lush and verdant foliage, it must have been at least a hundred meters tall, nearly covering the entire island beneath its vast canopy.

Wow, did someone inject this thing with genetic enhancers or something?

Kaguya couldn't help but complain inwardly.

After all, even her Wood Release Secret Technique: Nativity of a World of Trees technique would only produce trees of about this height.

The island housed a relatively small town, with roads paved with bluestone and buildings arranged in an orderly manner. Shops lined the streets, and the bustling crowd filled the town with life.

Just then, a sweet aroma of freshly baked bread drifted through the air—it was coming from a bakery.

Kaguya's nose twitched slightly, and at the same time, her stomach let out a faint "grumble." She hadn't eaten in a long time. Although her physique allowed her to go without food, she still felt hunger.

"Boss, how much for this bread?" Kaguya pointed to the display case, which was filled with a variety of freshly baked breads, and asked.

The owner was a short and plump middle-aged woman. Upon seeing Kaguya, her eyes lit up, thinking that this girl was stunningly beautiful. In all her years, she had never seen someone so breathtaking. She could tell from the way many passersby were sneaking glances at Kaguya.

This kind of elegant presence was not something an ordinary person could possess. She must be from a wealthy family—and most likely an outsider. If such a strikingly beautiful girl had been a local, the whole town would have known about her by now.

Wealthy. Outsider. Young and gorgeous.

Putting it all together, the conclusion was simple: a walking gold mine.

"500 Berries." The shopkeeper said with a wide smile.

Normally, a loaf of bread would cost 100 Berries at most, but she had hiked the price up fivefold.

"Alright, I'll take two."

Kaguya agreed without hesitation. But when she reached for her wallet, she suddenly froze.

That's when she realized—she didn't have money from this world.

The shopkeeper was even more delighted, thinking that her instincts had been correct. A true big spender—not even flinching at such an outrageous price. Clearly, she had no clue about local pricing.

The shopkeeper quickly packed the bread and beamed. "Miss, would you like anything else?"

Kaguya cleared her throat twice and said, "Sorry, I don't have any money. I'll buy it next time."

The smile on the shopkeeper's face instantly froze.

Receiving a look of disdain from the shopkeeper, Kaguya felt a bit helpless. She had plenty of money before, but those were from the previous worlds—just a pile of worthless paper here, completely useless. Moreover, she hadn't brought any gold or other precious metals with her.

Just as Kaguya was feeling a bit frustrated, a clear, crisp voice suddenly rang out beside her.

"You're hungry, right? Here, take this."

Kaguya turned around, and before her stood a young girl with short, ear-length hair, fair skin, and delicate features. Her large, bright eyes made her look incredibly cute, though her body seemed a bit thin—whether due to her age or malnutrition was unclear.

"This… is for me?" Kaguya asked in surprise, looking at the bread in the girl's hands.

"Mm." The young girl nodded and said, "You must be hungry. If you don't mind, please take it."

Kaguya was momentarily stunned.

Could it be… I have some hidden ability that attracts lolis, and I never realized it?

While Kaguya was still lost in thought, the little girl shoved the bread into her hands, then turned and ran away.

"Wait!" Kaguya called out hastily. "I don't even know your name!"

"No need for thanks." The little girl turned her head, smiled, and said, "Bye-bye." Then, without stopping, she ran off.

"Just eating bread will make my mouth dry. I mean, is there any milk to go with it?"

"…"

Even the most patient of lolis wouldn't bother acknowledging someone as shameless as Kaguya.

Yet, just as Kaguya was sitting on the steps, munching on the bread in her hands, a small figure approached and handed her a bottle of milk.

"Here, this is milk."

Kaguya blinked in surprise. She had only been joking earlier—she hadn't expected the little girl to actually bring her some.

She reached out, took the milk, and smiled. "Thanks."

Just as the young girl was about to say something, a sudden commotion erupted in the town. Noisy voices drifted over from the distance.

"Something's wrong! The Navy is here! A Marine warship is approaching!"

The townspeople's faces were filled with unease and fear, unsure of what was happening.

The Navy?

Kaguya was taken aback. This town didn't look like a pirate stronghold—why would the Navy be coming here?

At that moment, a middle-aged man, drenched in sweat, came running over. When he saw the little girl, his eyes lit up.

"Robin! You're here! Thank goodness—Dr. Clover is urgently looking for you!"

"What's wrong?" The little girl asked curiously. "Why is the doctor looking for me?"

The middle-aged man whispered something to the girl. Her face instantly changed. Without another word, she spun around and sprinted off into the distance.

Kaguya watched the little girl and the man rush away, still holding the bread in her hand.

The corner of her lips curled into a knowing smirk.

"I didn't expect to enter the storyline this quickly… Nico Robin, huh? Heh heh heh."

If Kaguya wasn't mistaken, the little girl who had just hurried away was Nico Robin—the same Robin who would later join the Straw Hat Pirates.

However, what Kaguya hadn't expected was that Robin's skin was fair, completely unlike how she appeared in the One Piece anime. Compared to the tanned complexion in the anime, her fair skin looked much more beautiful, and her facial features were even more refined—it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they were on a completely different level.

That was one of the reasons Kaguya hadn't recognized her at first.

Kaguya glanced around at the town's residents and noticed that their expressions were tense and uneasy. Murmurs spread among the crowd as they discussed the warships.

With a slight push from her toes, Kaguya's body shot into the air like an arrow, landing gracefully on a tree branch. Scanning the horizon, she spotted more than ten warships anchored near the coastline, their cannons all aimed at the island in perfect unison—this was clearly a battle formation.

For the Navy to go to such lengths and dispatch so many warships in one operation, Kaguya could only think of one possibility—the Buster Call on Ohara.

What a coincidence.

To think she had arrived at such a crucial moment in history—her luck wasn't too bad.

With a powerful step, Kaguya's figure transformed into a streak of light, heading straight toward the giant tree.

Bang!

"Ah—!"

A sharp gunshot rang out, and a spray of blood burst from the chest of an elderly man. The force of the bullet sent him collapsing onto his back, his clothes quickly staining red with fresh blood.

"You monsters!"

"Professor Clover!"

"You bastards! You actually shot Dr. Clover!"

The surrounding crowd erupted in fury, rushing toward the fallen old man.

The Navy soldiers encircling them immediately raised their rifles, aiming at the crowd and shouting harshly, "No one move! One more step, and we open fire!"

The townspeople glared at the ruthless soldiers, their teeth clenched in rage—but they were powerless.

Standing before the crowd, CP9 leader Spandine curled his lips into a vicious grin and said, "Well then, it's time for this golden Den Den Mushi, personally authorized by Fleet Admiral Sengoku, to make its appearance."

As he spoke, he pulled out a golden Den Den Mushi and pressed the button on its shell.

"Buster Call—activated."

The moment Spandine made his move, an overwhelming sense of dread spread among the people.

"Doctor! Doctor!"

At that moment, Robin came running over, sobbing, and threw herself onto Professor Clover's body.

"Robin, go to the evacuation ship!" Professor Clover, lying on the ground, struggled to speak.

Robin's eyes brimmed with tears as she cried, "No! I don't want to be alone! I want to stay with everyone!"

"Don't say such foolish things at a time like this!" Professor Clover said anxiously.

Not far from them, in a patch of grass, a woman lay motionless, her clothes soaked in blood. With great difficulty, she lifted her head and murmured, "Robin… Robin…"

But before she could do anything else, Spandine grabbed her arm, yanking her upright before handing her over to the soldiers.

"Take this woman away," he ordered. "She can't be allowed to die here—there's still plenty of information to extract from her. If she dies, it'll be troublesome for me."

At that moment, Robin finally noticed the woman.

When she saw her face, she froze.

At first, she looked confused—but then, as if a realization hit her, her eyes widened in shock.

She recognized the woman—she wasn't just anyone, she was Robin's mother.

"Activate the Buster Call! All fleet units, open fire! Target the entire island of Ohara! In the name of justice, I order you to eradicate these Ohara demons!"

At the vice admiral's command, the Navy warships unleashed a deafening barrage of artillery fire. Shells rained down like a storm, smoke and flames engulfing the once pristine, ancient island and its prosperous town, instantly reducing it to a sea of fire.

A tall and lean young man leaned against the ship's railing, gazing at the burning island in the distance. He let out a sigh and said, "I wonder how many people will die in this war."

He was none other than Kuzan, the future Admiral Aokiji.

"It's nothing more than a bunch of scum who deserve to die," another man walked up beside him and said coldly. "You're not planning to go soft, are you?"

His face was sharp and chiseled, his expression stern, and his hawk-like eyes radiated intensity. A Marine cap sat atop his head, and a justice cloak draped over his shoulders. He was Sakazuki, the future Fleet Admiral Akainu.

"Don't worry," Aokiji turned away and said. "Since this is an official order, I'll carry it out."

Akainu let out a cold snort and said, "I hope so."

At the same time, near the giant tree—

Just as Spandine was about to take Olvia away, someone suddenly stepped in their path. Silver-white hair swayed in the wind.

Robin, her face streaked with tears, was momentarily stunned.

It was that woman—the one she had met in town earlier.

"Who the hell are you? How dare you stand in my way?!" Spandine shouted angrily.

By now, the relentless bombardment had reached this area. If they didn't leave soon, they'd be blown to pieces along with these lowly peasants.

The soldiers immediately raised their rifles, aiming at the suddenly appearing woman—but when they saw her face, they hesitated for a moment.

She was breathtakingly beautiful.

Kaguya frowned, her expression displeased. "Just another worthless piece of trash… and yet, you dare to make noise in my presence? Die."

She raised a finger—

"Snap."

A crisp finger snap echoed through the air.

"What?! You dare call me trash?!" Spandine froze for a moment, then flew into a rage. He waved his hand and shouted, "Arrest her!"

No one had ever dared to talk to the great Spandine like that!

But…

A few seconds passed.

No one moved.

Furious, Spandine turned around—only to find that his soldiers were standing completely still, like lifeless statues.

"I said arrest her! Are you all deaf?!" Spandine roared.

Yet, the soldiers remained motionless—as if frozen in place.

Just as Spandine, furious, was about to kick one of them—

"Ssshhhhh—"

A sizzling sound filled the air.

Under Spandine's horrified gaze, black flames suddenly erupted from the soldiers' bodies.

In just a few seconds, they were reduced to ash, scattering onto the ground.

Spandine collapsed onto the ground, his face filled with sheer terror.

What the hell is happening?!

What he had just witnessed was beyond his comprehension.

Could she be a Devil Fruit user?

His heart pounded violently. He scrambled to his feet, turned, and ran for his life—but not before shouting one last threat:

"You dare kill Marines?! You're finished! Just you wait! I will—"

"Oh?" Kaguya smiled faintly and said, "I don't think you'll live to see that day."

A sudden, overwhelming fear surged through Spandine's heart. It felt as if he had been thrown into an icy abyss, his hands and feet going numb.

He didn't dare utter another word.

He just ran.

But—

He didn't get far.

Suddenly, black flames erupted from his body.

The same black flames that had engulfed his soldiers moments earlier.

And just like that—

Spandine, who had made a career of being obnoxious in the original story, met his end in agonizing screams, reduced to nothing but ashes.
