And then, after pulling over, Russell opened the door and, he and Kazi got off, meeting up with Frannie and her entourage. Aren was watching the scene in his crow's eye through his magical screen.
"Greetings. You must be Russell May, right?" Frannie said to Russell positively, with a polite look and a set of etiquette.
"Yes, I am," replied Russell briefly and nicely, then pulled out the invitation letter and showed it to her. "You must be Frannie Klidesreis, right?"
"Yes, it was me. Welcome to our teatime."
"Oh…um…okay then…"
With that, Frannie gestured to a table and two chairs set up for their teatime and said to Russell, "Have a seat, Mr. May." Russell did so, leaving his knapsack and scabbard to Kazi, who held it for him like a servant. Then, the teatime began with one of Frannie's servants pouring some hot tea into their ceramic tea cups and another offering snacks of bread with cream cheese and strawberries on it and some cookies. Russell and Frannie got some, ate some of their snacks, and sipped on that hot tea.
"So, uh…" Russell started the conversation, "…what do you want to talk about?"
"Oh! I want to say how awesome you were," responded Frannie with an enthusiastic and cheerful tone.
"Really? Have you heard about the Bus Driver Hero?"
"Yup! That one. It was you, right?"
"Yes, it was me, but that title is like mediocre to me…"
"Oh, come on. That title suits your heroism, you know. After all, your vehicle is quite new to this world."
"Oh…that makes sense…yeah, my life in this world had only started less than 2 years ago, and… this and that happened, a lot…"
Frannie then softly chuckled. "But you're so skillful and wise, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am…"
Kazi stood there but did get some food offered by Frannie's servants.
But then, the atmosphere changed when Kazi noticed something odd with the cookies. It tasted more funny than sweet, so Kazi tapped on Russell's shoulder and said, "Sensei, these cookies tasted herbal and funny to me." Russell was alerted by his statement and quickly looked at his bitten cookies. Although the cookies looked normal, he also noticed their taste not being sweet as usual. Seeing that, Frannie was surprised at first, then she chuckled darkly at them. Both Russell and Kazi saw that coming and tried to get out of this setup trap, but it was too late. The sleeping medicine-laced cookies took effect, and Russell lost consciousness and collapsed to the grass sleeping from the medicine. Aren was shocked, and Kazi was shocked, too, and ran from the place while carrying his teacher's belongings, getting into Russell's bus and watching the whole thing unravelling before him.
With that, Frannie chuckled darkly and had the Otherworlder's body carried by her servants before saying to them with malicious intent, "Take his body to a cell in my Chamber Fortress, and, take his vehicle somewhere for safekeeping."
Her servants and guards did so, and Aren was shocked with horror as the cleanup scene began. He saw it coming, and he was right. "I knew there was something fishy with that invitation from her!" So, because of that, Aren paused the footage, sent the surveillance crow back home, stood up, and hurriedly left his office, going to rescue his friend from Frannie's imprisonment by teleporting to her Chamber Fortress with his ability.
Meanwhile, in a big dungeon, Russell's bus was sealed in it with magic, making breaking into it or stealing it near impossible. Inside it, Kazi was trapped and confined in its interior. But the adventurer from Batela managed to survive by turning on the bus's aircon for ventilation and oxygen and eating his teacher's food and drinking his canteen of fresh water, which was luckily stored in the front. He was worried about Russell and his safety, wondering where he was taken by now.
At the same time, Russell woke up, only to feel his body being restricted from any movement. Upon seeing his surroundings, he was chained to a stone wall in a cell in the Chamber Fortress. The Otherworlder was shocked and couldn't move at all, thinking of anything that might have offended Frannie. But that assumption was debunked when he remembered what the cookies he ate contained, and because of that, he was now freaking out while thinking what will happen to him. And then, the door was opened, and Frannie came in, with a lustful and lovestruck look on her eyes.
