The loud sounds of mad bull charging through the forest breaking its tranquil peace at it dashed through the forest sending the many creatures that lived in forest in a panic they hurried squired away out of the mad beast's path, narrowly avoiding being quashed, stumped or trampled upon. The beast's as black as charcoals with eyes red with rage flaring nostrils.
The mad beast charged through the forest, knocking and tearing entire trees, boulders, rocks, and seemingly anything that crossed its path. And the reason why the beast was fuming with rage was none other than a boy holding it by its horns, with strength to be able to continue to hold on to it while withstand the impact through the trees, boulders, and rocks, it rammed in to in a desperate attempt to pry the boy's arms off its horns.
The boy staring defiantly in to the bull's red eyes with sly smirk on his face, seemingly taunting and mocking the, an act that served to further infuriate the beast and caused it to charge, with greater force through the forest, ramming through several more trees, with boy taking the brunt of it but hands refused to let go of the beast.
The boy's eyes then began to glow blue like lightning with blue spark beginning to appear and flow through his body. He then looked at the beast once more, this time his smirk widening to a grin before tighten his on the bull's horns and then, with strength that far surpassed that of the bull, lifted it off the ground and tossed it away, sending it flying and crashing straight it a few nearby trees.
The boy, having dealt with the beast, simply let out an exhausted sigh as he wiped the dirt that had accumulate on his body during his tussle with the bull, turning his back to the mad bull and failing to see get up and look at him with blazing fury in its eyes before charging straight for, ready to pierce straight through him with horns. The bull then charged straight for the boy but before it could reach him, an axe with lightning flowing through it, flew down from the sky and, with the rumble of thunder, sliced its head off.
"Anja", a rough matured voice spoke from above the boy.
The boy just sighed before turning around and raising his head to sky and saw a man hovering over him in the sky make his way to ground next to the slain beast. The man then extended out his hand and the wind lifted his axe, soiled with the beast's blood, and then brought it to his grasp.
"Hey dad", Anja greeted his father with nervous smile upon seeing the unamused look on his face
"What did I tell you about jumping in head first", his father spoke to him, his voice stern and serious.
"The bull was the one who charged at me", said Anja said in his defense.
"Because you called it a stupid and dumb bull", his father said annoyed and infuriated by his response.
"Yeah but I didn't think it would hear me. Who knew black titan bulls had great hearing" said his father.
His father then pinched the bridge of his and let out a breath.
"Alright, all that matters is that you didn't get hurt", said his father.
"Hurt? Dad, are you forgetting that I'm a storm maker as well. It would take much more than a dumb bull to hurt me", Anja's father just rolled his eyes at his son boastful words before going to the freshly slain beast.
"Come on", the father lifted beast's corpse on his shoulder.
"Here", he tossed his son the beast's head and then proceeded to walk away.
Anja carrying the head of beast, followed his father. The father and son walked through the forest until they made it to small farm located on grassy hill and surrounded by fields of grains, wheat, and several other crops.
Tending to the feeds and harvesting was a woman and girl about Anja's age. The woman and the girl, using magic, lifted the matured crops off the ground by the dozens and placed on the baskets they held.
"Mom, dad and Anja aback", the girl with cheery and excited smile on her face upon Anja and their father return from the forest.
"Dad, Anja", she rushed to them holding her basket filled with freshly harvested crops with a bright smile on her.
"Hey Braiba, look at what I and dad took down", Anja showed her the head of the bull which looked at in awe and amazement.
"You actually brought down black titan bull but they are so strong. I read that even a party of ten men can't manage to bring one of them down", said Braiba as she looked at bulls head.
"Are you forgetting who your brother. I am a storm maker, with strength for greater than ten men", Anja boosted, his head growing with his inflated ego.
"Don't listen to your fool of a brother Braiba, he's just talking nonsense. All he did was enrage the beast with that massive mouth of his and was rammed through the forest by it", said their father deflating his son's massive ego.
"Now, now Afini, don't be so harsh on my little baby boy", their mother joined with her own basket filled with freshly harvested crops, going to Anja and wiping of some of the dirt from his body.
"Oh, you poor thing. This was why I didn't want you to join your father hunting", said their mother.
"You pamper the boy too much Alaelra", said their father.
"And you're way too harsh on him. Just look at him, his all cover in dirt and grime. You're his father, how can you be so insensitive", said Alaelra.
"Like he said, he's a storm maker. He's tough enough to handle being roughed up a bit, besides it's not like he wasn't asking for it", said Afini.
Alaelra upon hearing what her husband said just let out a tired sigh before using magic to lift the beast's corpse on his shoulder along with its head which Anja carried.
"Alright, you two go bathe. You reek of dead beast and on top of that you're cover in dirt", said Alaelra while suspending the beast's corpse and head in mid-air.
"I and Braiba will have breakfast ready and done by the time you two are freshened up", Alaelra spoke with bright smile on her face.
Afini then let out a sigh before saying, "Come on son, let's go bathe".
Afini and Anja then left to go have their bathes with Braiba and Alaelra to finish harvesting all the mature crops and then head straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast using the most of the harvested crops and the meat of the bull Anja and Afini hunted. Alaelra, using knife whose blade was enchanted sliced cleanly through the beast's tough hide to get to its flesh while Braiba, sliced and prepared the vegetable. Using magic to ignite fire wood for the stove and setting the pot, they began gathering the ingredients together to make to make a stew, boil some rice, and cook the bull's meat, before setting the plates on the dining room right as Anja and Amasu returned, their bodies clean wearing a set of new clothes.
The family then gathered together on the dining table as Alaelra began dishing their meals. Knowing just how great the appetites of both her son and husband were, she made she sure to give them both the biggest serving with her husbands in particular being larger than the rest of theirs with the massive cook bull head at the top of his meal, while she and Braiba had a more moderate portion.
Anja, more than eager to dig, rushed to grab his spoon to have a taste but just as he was about to put the food in his mouth, Anja felt the hand which he used to hold the spoon freeze in place.
Anja then turned to see he sister looking at him with smile on her face.
"Now Anja, you know you can't eat without first praying to the goddess", said Braiba.
"You're sister's right Anja. Don't disrespect the goddess", Alaelra scolded Anja.
"I just wanted a taste, I'm so hungry", Anja grumbled causing Afini to roll his eyes at his son.
Anja, Braiba, Alaelra, and Afini then held hands, they all then shut their eyes and Alaelra began to pray, "Thank you great goddess Nkoro for your provision, for the food, your blessing and protection, for it only by your grace take each breath. Please continue to bless us with more meal like this and my your grace and protection never leave our home"
They all, having said their prayers to the goddess, then let go and opened their eyes, with Anja wasting no time to rushing to his food and Afini, with an even great fervor as his son, joined him in beginning to have his meal, grabbing the head of the bull by the horns and tearing through its flesh before dishing massive clumps of rice soiled with stew and stuffing it in to his mouth. The father and son's eat like starved beasts meanwhile the ladies, used to their beastly way to devouring their food, by contrast ate like civil noble ladies, making use of their cutleries, table forks and knife to elegantly cut their meat while dishing a moderate spoonful of food.
The boys, as they ravaged their meals like savage beast, wasted no time in finishing their meals, with Anja be the first the out of the two but instead of leaving the dinner table, the both of them just rested their, seeming inebriated by their full bellies. Braiba saying that Anja and her father were now done with their meals and were now in stupor due their full bellies, began to hastily rush to finish her meal, with her mother seeing what she was doing and falling suit.
Soon then ladies were done with their meals and upon doing so, rushed out of the dining table, with their plates left on the table.
Anja, hearing the cling of discarded dishes, was woken out of his stupor and looked out at the two discarded dishes left behind by both his mother and sister. He then slowly turned to face his father, seeing that he was yet to awaken from his inebriated said, attempted to sneak out of the dining table only for a massive hand to grip and force him back to his seat.
Anja then turned around and saw his father, fully awakened, his sparking with lightning like raging thunder storm. Anja then let out a tired sigh before bowing his head in defeat and begin gathering up the all the dishes.
The rules of the house stated clearly that the person to leave the dinner table last has to do the dishes and for some reason whenever it was left between Anja and his father, he's always the 'last one' to leave even when his father is still seated on the table long after he had gotten.
As Anja left to the kitchen with the pile of dirty dishes in his hands, he glance to the side and caught a glance at his sister flashing him an apologetic smile, knowing that even the house rules stated the last to finish were the ones to do the dishes, it only applied to the kids and not their parents. Anja grumbled and huffed as he made his way to the kitchen. Facing the massive pile of dirty pots and pans, along with the dishes on his hands which he was tasked with, he just let out a frustrated sigh before he began.
With a simple snap of his fingers, he summoned a miniature rain cloud then and summoned the wind to lift and gather all the dirty dishes. He then, using some soap and the water from the rain cloud, to wash the dishes and then summoned a wind gust to blow and dry the dishes before gentle placing them on the dish cabinet.
Once he was done, Anja made his way out of the kitchen, thinking his work was done, only for a massive sack filled with grain seeds to be sent flying his way. Anja, with the sack in the hand, turned to see his father who just pointed out to the fields outside.
Anja then let out another sigh before making his way out with the sack. Once there, he began by using his power to create small wind vortex on the filled, its strong winds ripping out the weeds that laid on to the field. He then placed both hands on the floor, his eyes then flashed like lightning. The ground underneath him then began to rumble softly, tenderizing and softening the soil.
Anja then opened up the sack and, using the power of the wind, carried the seeds and distributed it all over the tender soil. Anja then took a breath and stretched out his hand, with his eye glowing like lightning, creating a storm cloud that loomed the fields. He then brought down his hand and the waters descended down from the ground as soft and gentle rain upon the soil, watering the seeds.
Anja then turned to face his father who stood right behind him, watching him.
"Anja", Braiba rushed to her brother, tackling him in to a tight hug.
Anja, still a bit upset at the stunt she pulled at the dinner table, just grumbled a bit at her before pulling her away.
"You're done with the fields right Anja. So come on, let's go have some fun exploring the forest", said Braiba.
Anja then turned to their father, eagerly waiting for his approval with Braiba joining, looking at him with eyes just as eager as Anja's.
Afini then let out a breath before saying to his two children, "Don't venture too deep. Braiba keep your brother out of trouble before he ends up enraging one of the forest beasts and gets himself seriously hurt".
"Thanks daddy", Braiba hugged their father before grabbing Anja's arm dragging him away.
Afini then let out a breath before as he watched his children leave before making his way to the house.
Once inside, a pair of hands wrapped themselves around him.
"The kids are away which means we get some time to ourselves", the voice of his beloved whispered in his ear and upon hearing them Afini, wasted no time is swooping her off the ground and planted a kiss on her.
"Why don't we take this to the bedroom", she spoke with smile that made Afini's heart skip with excitement and body to heat hot.
Then, with steps as swift a lightning flashes, Afini wasted no time in taking his Alaelra to the bedroom, with the wind shutting the door behind them.
