Chapter 651 - The Press Conference Begins

The Japanese female university students, three of them, with those few keywords, Takayuki immediately knew that it was the three girls who had arrived.

Are the three girls directly looking for him, wanting to attend the press conference?

Takayuki answered, "Oh, it's them. Did they say they needed anything?"

Upon hearing Takayuki's words, the staff member immediately realized that these were people the boss knew, which relaxed him a bit. If it had been someone blindly chasing stars, they would have to find a way to stop them. "They didn't say anything about needing something."

"Then, please arrange them a good spot for the press conference. I'll go see them after the event; I happen to have a few things I want to discuss with them too."

"Okay."

...

"Aiko, you're really my goddess! Your way of finding Takayuki made us go from being stuck in the back row to having the best seats in the front row at the press conference. This is just amazing!"

...

...

The three girls were quickly arranged by the staff to sit in the front row of the press conference.

There were always a few empty seats in the front row for emergencies, and the three girls just happened to get lucky.

He Mei was looking at Aiko with admiration.

Aiko's suggestions were always so on point and had remarkable results.

Aiko, however, didn't feel much about such praise.

Right now, her mind was completely focused on developing her next game.

The reason she wanted to see Takayuki was because of this. She wanted to get some answers from him and see if he had any good suggestions.

Of course, getting to watch the press conference from the front row was also a very exciting thing.

"Alright, quiet down, the press conference is starting!"

The lights in the venue suddenly dimmed.

The once noisy atmosphere quickly quieted as the crowd realized the press conference was officially starting.

Then the massive screen on the podium slowly lit up.

A series of familiar melodies began to play.

It was a medley of the most iconic music from Gamestar Entertainment's past games.

This opening had become a standard for Gamestar Entertainment.

But every time, it still felt fresh.

Because the music in the medley was different each time, and some of the instruments used would change, breathing new life into even some older game music.

The screen also flashed familiar characters.

Many of the game developers in the audience were once the most loyal players, and at this point, some couldn't help but whistle with excitement.

When the video ended, Takayuki officially appeared.

"Thirteen years, thank you all for accompanying Gamestar Entertainment through these thirteen years."

Takayuki stood calmly at the center of the stage, his gaze deep, exuding a unique charm.

The three girls were very close to the podium and felt the impact the most.

This Takayuki was completely different from the one they had seen before.

Now, Takayuki seemed to have an almost divine aura, being watched by countless people, as if the moon was surrounded by stars.

The spotlight fully focused on Takayuki.

"Also, thank you all for coming to our latest press conference. Over all these years..."

By now, Takayuki had become very comfortable with speeches.

He could now speak a long emotional paragraph without a hint of nervousness.

After all, Gamestar had been running for over ten years, and it was inevitable to share some nostalgic thoughts during a press conference.

Of course, the audience was more than willing to listen.

At times like this, Takayuki would even reveal some small secrets and details that hadn't been shared before.

For example, Takayuki had started developing games all alone.

He single-handedly handled dozens of games during the early days of the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Looking at it now, that seems almost impossible.

Even in Takayuki's era, only he could have done such a thing.

Such creativity was something only a rare few could achieve.

Five or six games, each made and released in a month—truly a terrifying pace.

That's why Takayuki truly deserved the title of "The God of Games."

Then, after the speech, they naturally got to the main topic.

"Alright, I've gotten older, and it seems I've started to ramble a bit. I suppose it's time to stop, or else I think you'll all get tired of it."

"No! We're not tired at all! Please, keep going!"

Someone in the crowd shouted, causing a ripple of laughter to spread throughout the audience.

Takayuki smiled and responded, "Next time, perhaps. But for now, let's focus on our products. That's what today's press conference is all about."

Everyone quickly quieted down, their eyes wide open, afraid of missing any detail.

"With the development of the times, our game development has entered a whole new era. In this new era, graphics, game scale, and quality are all skyrocketing. I'm very glad to see the gaming industry flourishing to this extent during my lifetime, and as a well-known game company, we naturally must keep up with the trends."

"Well-known?"

Everyone knew Takayuki was being modest.

If Gamestar Entertainment was just "well-known," then who in the gaming industry was truly famous?

"This time, we're going to announce our brand-new IP, and we hope you all like it."

Another brand-new IP!

Everyone was excited.

This was exactly what they had been waiting for.

Naturally, game journalists attending the press conference started snapping pictures with their cameras.

Getting a good shot of Takayuki was rare; he was a living legend.

Now, the legend was about to release a new game—this was big news.

The last new IP was called Metal Gear, and it was clearly still in progress.

What kind of new IP would be revealed this time? People were really looking forward to it.

"First, I'll showcase an old IP as a lead-in: Monster Hunter."

As Takayuki spoke, the iconic Monster Hunter logo appeared on the large screen behind him.

"This time, we've added more monsters, more weapons, and more moves. We've also polished the action even further. Now, let's watch our game trailer."

With that, the lights dimmed, and the screen lit up with the trailer.

He Mei looked a little excited.

The pivotal moment that changed the fate of the three girls was during that very first Monster Hunter demo event.

They were the first group of female players to defeat the Female Rathian monster, which drew special attention from Takayuki.

Back then, He Mei couldn't even defeat a Great Jagras monster, but now she was an experienced hunter, easily defeating monsters.

The more she played, the more she discovered the charm of the game.

The gradual accumulation of progress, from initially impossible to eventually achievable, was an unparalleled feeling.
