Suddenly, a small figure dashed out of nowhere, breaking through the security line and lunging straight toward Chi Xingye.

Weak as she was, she couldn't withstand the sudden weight and staggered backward several steps, still unable to steady herself; she was about to fall backward...
At that moment, a man suddenly broke through the security line, rushing over rapidly.
Perhaps it was her maternal instinct that, as she fell, she subconsciously held the child tight, protecting her.
Chi Xingye clenched her eyes shut, bracing for the pain of hitting the ground.
But, unexpectedly, her back didn't meet the ground but a firm chest, as well as the man's low grunt of pain from the impact.
