Chapter 11 - 11] Crazy Brat

The Next Day

In his living room, Ryuku balanced himself upside down against the wall, supporting his entire weight on his hands. His eyes were closed, but his mind remained sharply focused. Dressed only in pants, his developing core muscles were clearly visible. Not just his abs—his arms and legs had also grown noticeably stronger over the past few days.

His arms began to tremble as fatigue set in, but he pushed through for another minute before finally lowering himself back to the ground. His heart pounded wildly, and his arms felt completely numb, yet his breathing remained steady and controlled.

Without hesitation, he activated the Mystical Palm Technique in both hands, sending soothing chakra through his overworked muscles. Relief washed over him as the soreness faded, sensation returning to his arms. He continued circulating chakra, systematically treating every strained muscle, healing microtears, and preventing potential injuries—all within a minute.

His chakra reserves dropped by 40 percent, but it was worth it.

Flexing his arms and fingers, he checked for any lingering discomfort. Finding none, a small smirk tugged at his lips.

Much better.

He glanced at the clock—7:45 AM. If he didn't leave soon, he'd risk being late on his first day… or was it his second?

Shaking the thought aside, he grabbed a bottle of Mixed Juice from the refrigerator and poured some into a glass. The same drink he had yesterday from that vending machine. It was great for his developing body—and somewhat for his taste. That's why he went a little overboard, buying so many that half his fridge was now stocked with nothing but Mixed Juice bottles. A bit pricey, sure, but he had more than enough funds, and more would be coming in every week. No regrets.

That aside, becoming a student of a Medical-nin turned out to be an even better deal than he'd expected. Not only did he have a direct teacher willing to share everything, but he'd also get to observe live surgeries firsthand. And, as a bonus, he now had a 50% discount on all hospital medicines and services—just in case he ever got injured.

A true jackpot, in every sense of the word.

Shortly after, Ryuku locked his house and headed for the hospital.

The first thing his eyes landed on was, as always, Hokage Mountain—a sight he had grown accustomed to by now.

Just four big heads… that's all.

His gaze then shifted to the shinobi darting across the rooftops, moving like fleeting shadows. From what he had gathered during his time in the village, only high-ranking ninja and those on urgent missions were permitted to use the rooftops, ensuring minimal disruption to the civilians below.

I need to get my hands on the Body Flicker Technique soon…

His thoughts didn't stop there. The advantages of a fast-movement technique were too significant to ignore. Forget Body Flicker—what he truly desired was the Flying Thunder God Technique, the pinnacle of both Fūinjutsu and movement techniques. And soon, an extraordinary, one-in-a-thousand opportunity to obtain it—without going through any ridiculous missions—would present itself.

I've already laid the groundwork. Let's hope it works…

Since there was no other way to acquire the Flying Thunder God Technique anytime soon, Ryuku had been preparing for this moment from the very day he arrived in this world.

Graduation is the day after tomorrow, huh...

It's going to be an interesting day, for sure.

He almost felt like he was cheating—exploiting his knowledge of the plot to seize an opportunity others wouldn't even know existed. But only a fool would sit still and let such a chance slip by. There was absolutely no way he would let this opportunity go. So much so that he had even stepped out of character just to befriend that guy.

A few moments later, when he was about halfway to his destination, Ryuku suddenly noticed a yellow-haired figure dashing toward him from the other side.

Well, speak of the devil…

"Hey, Myuku!!" Naruto yelled, not even slowing down. "Help me out of this situation, please!!"

"..."

Naruto bolted past him, flashing a friendly grin with his hands pressed together in a pleading gesture.

Ryuku didn't let it get to his head. Instead, he just cursed Obito loudly in his mind and forced himself to calm down.

"It's Ryuku, you bastard," he responded in a clear voice, though Naruto was already long gone.

Damn that Uzumaki physique…

Just a few seconds later, another figure appeared in front of him. Brown ponytail, decent height, and an enraged expression—it was none other than his classroom teacher, Iruka Umino.

"Good morning, Iruka-sensei," Ryuku greeted casually.

"Oh, morning, Ryu—? What the—?" Iruka's eyes widened as he gave Ryuku a once-over. "How did you change so much? I barely recognized you for a second!"

Well, that reaction was pretty normal. At least he got the name right. Unlike a certain someone.

"Heh, things happened, Sensei." Ryuku chuckled lightly, offering no further explanation.

Iruka didn't press the matter. Instead, he gave a warm smile and patted Ryuku's shoulder. The boy was about a head shorter than him.

"Cheeky brat. A change now and then isn't a bad thing—" He suddenly stopped mid-sentence, as if something had clicked in his mind, then let out a sigh.

"Forgive me, Ryuku. We'll talk properly over a bowl of ramen this evening, but first, I have to catch that brat and teach him a lesson."

He paused, rubbing the back of his head before asking, "Uh… can you tell me which way Naruto ran off to?"

Ryuku smiled and pointed in a direction slightly off from where Naruto had actually gone.

"That way, Sensei."

"Thanks! And don't forget—Ichiraku before six!" Iruka said before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

Left alone, Ryuku smirked, amused by the situation.

Can't believe he left an entire class behind just to chase Naruto around like a cat-and-mouse game… Well, then again, Naruto is a fox…

Realizing that he might be running late thanks to those two, Ryuku had no choice but to utilize chakra to enhance his movement.

Since the first part of his morning routine focused on stamina training—running without chakra—he had significantly improved his endurance over the past few days.

As a result, he crossed the distance in mere seconds and arrived at his destination.

The place that carried the exact same sterile scent from his previous life—Konoha Hospital.

Ugh, God, have mercy on my nose…
