"Oh, this one is quite good," Ryuku muttered with interest, holding a large book in his hands. The title read Deep Analysis of the Human Nervous System. "Let's finish this one next."
Placing the already-read book onto a meter-high stack beside him—the ones he had finished since morning—Ryuku picked up the next one, focused on the nervous system.
Lounging on a comfortable sofa, he was inside a hidden medical training facility linked to Konoha Hospital—a place known as Mohawk Fish Market. On the surface, it appeared to be just a seafood market selling fish, octopus, and crabs. However, behind that facade lay a covert training ground where successful participants of the medical campaign received direct training.
Not only did it provide hands-on experience with the Mystical Palm Technique, but it also offered advanced knowledge in medicine, poisons, and human anatomy. To his satisfaction, the hall was packed with dozens of scrolls and books, all dedicated to medical studies.
Simply put, this was Ryuku's ideal place—a sanctuary where he could learn without limitations.
And that was precisely what he had been doing since he arrived.
Hosho had been summoned to the auditorium to lecture the medical campaign's participants, leaving him no time to teach Ryuku personally. Instead, he had informed Ryuku about this facility and granted him a medical-nin pass, allowing unrestricted access.
Hmm… I didn't expect this world's medical knowledge to be so advanced. But considering the influence of chakra—the way it can heal even half-destroyed organs through combined efforts of medical-nin—this much development is to be expected.
Ryuku pondered as he swiftly yet deeply absorbed the book's contents. He noted that the human nervous system was identical to that of Earth, both in function and structure. Most of the books he had finished weren't particularly surprising, thanks to his prior knowledge. However, one stood out—the first book he had read that morning.
A book on Chakra Pathways.
After finishing it, he realized something crucial: chakra pathways within the human body functioned similarly to the nervous system. However, while the nervous system transmitted signals from the brain to the organs, chakra pathways operated in a distinct yet comparable manner.
Chakra was generated in the core, near the lower abdomen—similar to the Dantian concept. For chakra to be produced, both physical and spiritual energies had to be spun at the core. The direction of this spin varied from person to person, occurring naturally in either a clockwise or counterclockwise motion. Interestingly, neither direction had inherent advantages or disadvantages. However, knowing one's chakra flow direction was essential for mastering chakra-based techniques.
Like Ryuku's, which flowed clockwise—something he had discovered on the first day of his transmigration, helping him grasp Mini-Rasengan with ease.
In simple terms, chakra pathways transported chakra from the core to any intended location—just by the user's will.
Furthermore, Ryuku had stumbled upon an even more critical revelation.
To maintain a stable chakra flow, the body had eight major Tenketsu—chakra points—where chakra was naturally forced to slow down, preventing damage to the pathways.
Simply marvellous.
In total, the human body contained 361 Tenketsu, working together to regulate chakra circulation and prevent internal harm. If forcefully stopped by external means—or worse, destroyed—one could lose control over their chakra flow entirely. In such a situation, the only options were to fight with one's life on the line or retreat strategically.
After a short while, Ryuku closed the book, new knowledge secured in his mind. Since the moment he arrived in this world, he had noticed that both his body and mind far exceeded human potential from Earth. His mind processed and retained information with impeccable clarity, while his physique steadily improved over time.
And he planned to push those limits even further—after mastering everything there was to know about being a medical ninja.
At the same time, his studies in Fūinjutsu were progressing rapidly, and just last night, he had made a major breakthrough.
He could finally create Bomb Seals on his own!
A feat that might seem insignificant to others, but for him, it marked a crucial milestone in his Fūinjutsu journey.
He had successfully tested one of his Bomb Seals outside Konoha early this morning. With that, he could now mass-produce them to earn money, as the chakra consumption was manageable.
Although they won't be as effective as those Explosive Tags made from chakra-infused paper, given enough time, I can layer multiple seals over one another to enhance my version…
Ryuku smirked slightly, pleased with his progress in both Medical Ninjutsu and Fūinjutsu.
Another reason for his good mood?
He finally had test subjects for practicing the Mystical Palm Technique.
The Mohawk Fish Market provided him with live fish and octopuses to experiment on—as many as he wanted.
Tossing the book onto the growing pile beside him, Ryuku stretched his arms, back, and neck before heading to the front shop. There, he retrieved a small octopus and swiftly killed it using Chakra Scalpel—piercing its multiple hearts in an instant.
The Chakra Scalpel was a technique he had seen Kyoka use yesterday, and by last night, he had already mastered it. By focusing chakra into a razor-sharp edge with precise control, one could create a pure chakra blade. It required exceptional chakra control—not something just anyone could pull off.
And Ryuku knew that.
That's why he intended to keep it a secret from Hosho for a few days—just to make the eventual reveal a little less shocking for the poor guy.
Placing the dead octopus on the large table, Ryuku activated the Mystical Palm Technique and immediately focused on healing the creature's internal injuries.
Less than a minute later, the supposedly lifeless octopus suddenly twitched. Its tentacles stirred, moving left and right.
Then, without warning, it tried to spray ink at Ryuku's face.
Oh, hell no—
Before it could follow through, Ryuku's Chakra Scalpel flashed in swift, precise strikes, cutting it down once again.
This time, however, he made sure to destroy all of its hearts completely. There would be no miraculous revival.
Ryuku finished it off for good.
"Tch. I need to do something about my chakra reserves real quick…" he muttered, feeling a bit drained despite his efficient chakra control. Then, glancing at the now truly dead octopus, he added nonchalantly, "Well, I guess I'll have some takoyaki and grilled octopus for dinner."
Smirking slightly, he shifted his focus.
Tomorrow is the awaited graduation day.
For his grand plan to go smoothly, there was still one small thing left to do.
Now then, where will I find that fox brat…?
It seemed like he was planning to invite Naruto for dinner.
