The behind-the-scenes manipulator was extremely formidable, constantly scheming against Yan Fei in the shadows, but who could be certain that this manipulator was the ultimate Boss, and that no one was plotting against him? In Yan Fei's view, there might well be another even more powerful force behind this manipulator that was scheming against him, and Yan Fei was also a pawn of this very power.
Just as the behind-the-scenes manipulator thought he had control over everything related to Yan Fei, this more mysterious force was giving Yan Fei more Golden Fingers right under the manipulator's nose. For instance, the previous Drone Avatar and the current Cave Heaven Paradise might very well have been given to Yan Fei by this more powerful force without the manipulator's knowledge.
Of course, all of these were just Yan Fei's own conjectures and not necessarily true. But they did perfectly explain some possibilities, giving Yan Fei hope to overcome the behind-the-scenes manipulator...
