"Jane Sampson!" James Black nearly growled her name through clenched teeth.

Jane's hand froze abruptly, and she lifted her eyes to look at James Black, her face filled with guilt, "Weren't you getting tofu? Where's the tofu?"
James Black ignored Jane completely, took the chopsticks from her hand, and handed her a new pair.
Knowing she was at fault, Jane took the new chopsticks without a word and obediently lowered her head to eat whatever James Black put into her bowl, not daring to bring up the tofu again.
