At dawn, before the battle, everyone assembled near the gate. Hedin said, "Today is the day. The dawn you see before you is the dawn of a new day, one that will be remembered by the generations to come. Yet, the odds of us winning are 10,000 to one. But we have something they don't: courage. They may outnumber us, yet no matter what, they can never intimidate us. Today, many of us will fall, and I'm sure many of you want to leave, but we are the knights. We are the ones who protect this nation. If we can't even fight, what is our worth? Today, they are at our door, and if they are not stopped, they will be at our throats tomorrow, and I will never let that happen. Today, we are not fighting for our nation, dignity, or pride. Today, we fight to kill the demons that threaten us, that threaten our loved ones. Now, raise your heads and get ready for the battle of your lives."
After Hedin's speech, everyone screamed. Aoi said, "Hedin sure knows how to get everyone pumped up for a battle."
Anew said, "Now, let me squeeze your—"
Aoi said, "I would, but sadly, I'm flatter than the walls."
As everyone planned, they attacked. The very walls around the capital began to shake. Hedin said:
"Storms will rise, the skies will roar,

His spell was strong enough to fortify the walls, and when someone would hit the walls, they would simply be shocked. Hedin said, "Now, Alysa!" And the gates to the capital were opened.
Astrea said, "Wait, was that planned?"
As the gates were opened, Malacore said, "Now, hellfire magic! Roar of hatred!" and used a kind of fire-breath attack, beginning to burn the enemies to hell.
Astrea said, "What kind of flames are those? We are so far back, yet it still feels like I'm getting burned to ashes."
Anew said, "That makes two of us."
Astrea asked Aoi, "Why are all the enemies coming in a line and not trying to surround Captain Malacore?"
Aoi said, "They can't. Look around—the lines on both sides of the enemies are surrounded by highly condensed gravity. So, if they even touch it, they will be cut and shredded, as it's so thin, it's as sharp as a knife. They would have better luck surviving Malacore's hell flames, and they know that. That's why they aren't trying to surround him."
Meanwhile, someone outside started to chant:

As the undead were pouring through the gates, behind the gates, over 5,000 undead soldiers began to form as one. Within minutes, they had formed into a single entity. The chanter simply called, "I Omni." The caster said, "Omni, now forward."
