I let out a sigh as the beam of mana finally stopped. Only some of the crystals on the core managed to disappear, but the lingering energy still pulsed ominously around us. The storm outside continued to rage, the hailstones hammering against the roof, echoing the turmoil I felt inside.
Seb was crying after the hailstorm started, his little face scrunched up in distress. Setsuka was rocking him gently in her arms, murmuring soothing words as she tried to calm our son down. "Shh, it's alright, my little warrior," she cooed, her voice soft and melodic. "It's just a bit of noise. Daddy's here, and everything will be okay."
I watched them for a moment, my heart aching at the sight of my family caught in this chaos. Seb's cries tugged at me, and I knew I needed to focus on stabilizing Bosenmori's core. If we didn't act quickly, the energy could become even more volatile, and I couldn't let that happen—especially with my family nearby.
