Rose PoV
Anis gooed as she nibbled on some of the carrots from the stir-fry her granny made.
Saffron smiled slightly as he watched her. "Like Ma's stir-fry?"
Anis let out a delighted, "Goo!" her little hands reaching for more of the colorful vegetables on her plate. The sight of her enjoying the meal warmed my heart. It was moments like these that reminded me of the simple joys of family life.
"Looks like someone is a fan," I said, chuckling softly as I placed a few more carrots onto her plate. "Just like her daddy with green juice."
Saffron shook his head, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "I think she's got her own tastes, but I'm glad she enjoys it. My mom really knows how to whip up a good meal."
"She certainly does," I replied, glancing over at Saffron's mother, who was busy in the kitchen, humming a soft tune as she prepared dessert.
