I sighed as we finally arrived at Dahlia's house. Saffron had fallen asleep on the way down from the hill, forcing Koyu and me to carry him.
Yukira smiled at her baby cousin. "We're at your granny Dahlia's place! Ready to eat?"
Anis let out a cute goo.
My sister giggled and bounced my niece in her arms. "I take that as a yes," Rose said, smiling at her baby.
As we approached the door, the comforting aroma of stew and fried rice wafted from inside, mingling with the sweet scent of freshly baked apple tart. My stomach growled in response, reminding me just how hungry I was after our trek.
Suddenly, Sil rushed over, with Alli chasing after him.
"Dinner time!" Sil yelled, the spunky five-year-old basically bouncing. He froze as soon as he saw his big brother.
"Is Saf okay?" Alli asked, frowning at the sight of her sleeping brother.
