I sat before fifty sisters of battle. All sitting crosslegged, all with two sets of power armor, a bolter, and a modified energy chain sword laid out before themselves.
The room we were in was a massive church and just being within the holy hall, the stained glass windows gleamed with harsh golden light despite on the other side of the windows being the hull of the ship.
Behind me stood a massive statue of the God Emperor of Mankind, and with my foreknowledge I had his face sculpted to match what he actually looked like most of the time. But that wasn't all, the statue was blessed by my Inner Light, as a Traveler.
So just like in reality, the statue's eyes were aglow with holy flames within them. The Emperor Statue was also armed with a massive great sword that matched it's size that was also set ablaze with my inner light.
The holy light filled the stained glass windows that depicted the holy God Emperor, his statue, and of course his infamous great flaming Greatsword. It was such a powerful and stirring sight. That was the moment my custodian followed me into the room.
I saw the Custodian's famed perfect control over themselves falter. As he staggered slightly in place ever so slighty as he almost went to kneel at the sight of the statue.
The Sisters of Battle on the other hand?
Adelieth, Katherine, and all the other Sister's of Battle literally burst into tears of joy and kneeled praying fervently to the statue for hours. Only leaving the holy room to deal with their bodily needs and now the church had a fucking shower and holy cleansing site.
Where the Sisters of Battle forced everyone, from enhanced Ogryn to the 'simple' soldier to be cleansed and anointed with holy oils and robes before they would allow anyone into the fucking church.
The church mind you, that I was trying to use as a Ritual Room to draw power from the Emperor of Mankind, as the faith energy of trillions if not quadrillions of humans certainly wasn't even being used to single percent of degree.
'Fanatics... Gotta love and hate them in this universe.' I thought as I led the Sister's of Battle through a series of holy prayers that would collect the power of the faith energy of the Emperor of Mankind. And then that faith energy would be channeled into the suits of power armor, the bolter, and the chain sword.
Finally finishing with the prayer I took a drink of some cold water as my voice was ragged after channeling a bunch of energy to guide the fanatical Sister's of Battle's prayers.
"My lord, are you alright? You are rather pale?" Adelieth asked with some concern.
I nodded with my throat thick earning a cough before I could reply. "I was the conduit to act as the beacon for all your faith to the Emperor, Adelieth, but yes. I will be fine in a bit."
Looking past Adelieth it would never get... Normal, seeing all the different very beautiful Sister's of Battle staring at me in abject awe. Well staring between me and the statue of the Emperor anyway.
And the sisters of battle were all actually beautiful now. The Super Soldier Serum after all did bring their best forms out and for the women who had replacement limbs and eyes they had them replaced with vat-grown limbs and organs as they were in the refinement proccess.
"Katherine." I called out towards the still kneeling leader of the Sister's of Battle who was kneeling and praying towards the statue of the God Emperor.
"Make sure all the anointed gear gets properly placed into storage with holy seals put around their containment units. I want everything to be perfect for when we reach Avignor."
"Yes my lord, the armaments of the God Emperor will be put away with all given respect," Katherine spoke with ardor.
I then left the church heading towards my private quarters where my Crysis Suit relaxed it's armor and such leaving me in just the black carapace of its relaxed form. "Haa... Got a good week till I get to Avigorn." I muttered to myself.
Then as I sat down in my chair, I paused seeing the Custodian who followed me for the church had somehow entered the room with me somehow without my notice as I locked the door behind me.
"You know... That sneaky shit of like literally hiding in my shadow is rather creepy." I said with some actual frustration.
The Custodian had the perfect rebuttal as he retorted calmly. "If you dislike it, tell me to stop it. Or better, train your senses to be able to follow my movements. As there is no sorcery in my stealth."
I rolled my eyes at the damned custodian telling me to just 'Git Gud.' But either way, I popped my neck and said. "Fine, whatever. I am going to get some rest as doing the blessings was tiring."
"Do what you will." The custodian said calmly through their voice system and I didn't have any issues sleeping with the custodian staring at me...
As sleeping on a Hive World which was being taken over by heretical monsters and literal demons made it so having the lights on as you were sleeping a blessing.
As the shadows were always... Twisting in the corner of your eyes even when they were closed and you were trying to sleep.
Though as I was laying down, I had an interesting plan to spend the next few days. 'I should convert one of the storage rooms into a football field and put up tv's in the ceiling to simulate being on a planet to help the soldiers relax... And I can watch the Ogryn's play sports for fun.'
As space travel when you had the ship in good order and there wasn't much to work on. Was obviously rather boring with how tight much of the ship could be.
