The most likely explanation is that opening the temple requires certain prerequisites. That fighter must reach a particular level before unlocking the temple. However, if it were only that simple, they could easily have used one of their own people to open the temple. There would be no need to hand the key to someone else.
Hence, it can be inferred that meeting the prerequisites for opening this temple must be extremely unfavorable to the person who does the unlocking.
"So that's how it is. Looks like my little performance ended up doing them a favor," Alexander murmured.
He weighed the ancient bronze key in his hand, his gaze flickering.
"Once I've had my fill of food, I'll head straight to the temple and use it to open the door," Alexander said as he slipped the key into his pocket.
