Chapter 63 - The Trip

"Why did I even think this was a good idea?"

Julius gritted his teeth, the spear trembling in his hands. Across from him, Sunday stood effortlessly, her stance relaxed but deadly precise.

"You're the one who wanted a stronger partner." She chuckled, her breath raspy from glee.

She had barely broken a sweat. Her purple hair was insultingly dry.

Julius could hardly breathe. His wrists ached from blocking her relentless strikes, his legs felt like they were turning to lead.

Then—CRACK!

Pain shot up his arm. Sunday had twisted his wrist at an unnatural angle, almost snapping it in two.

"Alright, alright—!" he grunted, stumbling back. His vision blurred from the pain, but something deep inside flared up. He refused to go down like this. "You asked for it-."

His fingers tightened around the Force Ring on his hand.

"Shockwave!"
