Chapter 179 - Worried Students Part 1

"We're just worried about you, Teacher Mio. Didn't you say that we are already dismissed, so we have a whole hour to ourselves? That means it's our free time, so we can choose what we want to do in that amount of time. So, we simply decided that we're going to help you before we go to our next class." Chisato said with a light smile on her face as she simply walked while supporting Mio, to which Xian'er just nodded her head in agreement.

"I'm not a cripple you know? I'm still a 1st Class Sword Saintess, right?" Mio simply asked in a sigh as she just let her students do what they wanted because she knew that they would just ignore her if she said that she could handle herself.

"Yes… But why does it matter? Isn't the Goddess also the same? Even if she's the strongest Hero, she's still being supported by her friends and the other heroes, so why can't we do it to you?" Xian'er retorted happily as she held Mio's arms tighter in response to her question.

Hearing this, Mio couldn't help but laugh internally as she knew that she couldn't say anything back at it because she knew that her students were right, and seeing them like this made her even more determined to nurture them to become something great in the future. All of her students, regardless of who they are.

"Anyways, has the Admin of Education already done something about the broken Education System? I didn't hear anything from them even though the Goddess has already asked them to make a move." Mio asked as she simply allowed herself to be taken to wherever the three wanted.

"Well… about that. I actually heard from my Father that they are scrambling to get everything done, and it has been nothing but chaos for them there. But even the Government and Noble Families are also in chaos. I believe that Principal Aria is already trying to do something about it and actually wants to be the first since this is the school of the Goddess, and I also heard that Lady Solar is helping her with it." Irene said as she recalled what her Father told her last night in their family dinner.

Mio, who heard it, just raised an eyebrow at it because she never expected things to be so slow when the only thing they have to do is to apologize for their wrongdoings and their corruption of influence towards the Education System, which has failed the people for years.

But when she remembered that the people in her position were inherently stupid, she sighed, knowing she couldn't hope for them to get things straight. But just as she was thinking exactly about that, she saw the boy from the Suratin Family who had flaunted his background before. But he is still doing the same thing right now, even if she has already warned the whole world about it.

The Suratin boy, whose name Mio couldn't even remember, was pushing and throwing insults towards a girl who was already kneeling on the ground, which just made her blood boil in anger towards him.

"Hey… Are you just that stupid that you'll actually break the rules of the Academy again by flaunting your influence and background?" Mio asked in an irritated tone as she stepped away from the hold of her students and towered over him.

"Are you all right? He didn't hurt you too much, right?" Mio asked in a gentle tone as she offered her hand even though she was already weak towards the girl who simply looked up at her with unshed tears in her eyes.

But before she could respond, the boy from the Suratin family couldn't take it anymore and tried to destroy Mio's cane by shooting it with a lightning bolt. No one in her students was able to react to it because it was basically at point black range.

Mio didn't even spare him a glance as she just deflected his attack with her cane, and it went straight to him, shocking his whole body and making him shake and unable to speak as he lay on the ground.

"Now you gave me an idea how to deal with stupid people like you~" Mio said with a light smile on her face while she simply assisted the girl in standing up and healed her lightly, which caused slight discomfort but nothing bad before walking towards the faculty room.

"Let him be. You all saw what happened; plus, there's a security camera over there, so we're good, especially you. So you don't have to worry about a single thing. I promise you that he won't be able to bully anyone from this school anymore." Mio turned her back to the girl and just continued walking with the three following her from behind.

With that, she entered the faculty room, and all the teachers inside looked at her in shock. But seeing her just shake her head meant she didn't want to explain. It just made them silent, and they nodded their heads in agreement and didn't try to pry further.

"Oh, yes. Teacher Mio. Martin came earlier today and gave you your schedule, and he also said that he wanted to speak to you later on privately, but I think that he wants to apologize to you because of what happened between you two." Carol said as she pointed at the paper sitting on top of Mio's desk.

"I see… thank you. I'll only see him when I'm free or rather when I'm all better." Mio just smiled as she sat down before finally letting her students go and do whatever they wanted before looking through her new and permanent schedule, which is what, at least, she is hoping for.

"It's not a problem at all. Just doing him a favor as his friend." Carol just shrugged as she gathered her own things and headed out with a smile hanging down on her face.

"This is bullshit. How come I no longer have a normal class? I only have large classes." Mio said in an agitated voice as she read through her new schedule.

Because even if she was still the homeroom teacher of Class F, it's just going to be in name now since she doesn't even have a class for them where she gets them all to herself. But the great thing that maybe she could be grateful for is that she only has three days a week, though they are 5 hours each.

Monday is her Class with her Magic Theory, Wednesday is her Close-Combat Class, and Friday her last class is going to be the Practical Magic and Combat Class. If it was any other teacher, they would have outright rejected it because each class they would need to teach over 500 students, which is already hard.

And, the fact that every class would need full attention as she just can't always give lectures and discussions makes it worse. In Magic Theory, maybe she can get away with it, but she won't because it would be unfair for her students.

"I guess I won't have a lot of free time now," Mio said to herself in a sigh as she just laid leaned on her chair while Mio was sitting on her desk with a playful smile seeing the despair in her big sister's eyes knowing that she will be more tired than usual.
