The world outside the City Z was a rather stark contrast.
If one had been in the city for a while, it would be a jarring experience.
The Evernight was gone, and the enormous moon could not be found too.
There was an ever present darkness, and there were no celestial bodies in the sky either.
Instead, there were blankets upon blankets of grey clouds floating in the sky, each made of tremendous, concentrated mana.
Beyond that, only the gods knew.
The air was cold and moist. However, there was no rainfall.
The ocean currents brought in plenty of moisture inland, so the air was not dry at all.
The leafs rustled, and the mutant avians let out a beautiful cacophony of shrill cries and shrieks.
"Well, I'll be damned... Those are the words in your mind. Amen I wrong?" Steve said with a smug grin.
Cain clicked his tongue.
Because he was right.
Those were the words going through his mind at the moment.
Mostly because he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing.
