"So why did you come here?" Steve asked all of a sudden.
Cain paused,
"Two reasons, really..."
Steve raised a brow, "Which are?"
Cain cleared his throat nervously,
"I guess I was feeling a bit sentimental. This place really is where our journey began."
That was true.
It had all began on this island.
It hadn't been an island in the past.
Instead, it had been a small, isolated corner on a university's campus.
As the world expanded, it had broken off and drifted into sea, growing its own biome and landmass in the process.
Steve shrugged, "Understandable. But that's not why you are really here, is it?"
Cain shook his head, then he sighed,
"I'm here the ask for the ant queen's help to fight the Devils."
The nature of Steve's gaze changed, and the small smile on his face disappeared,
"Well, that doesn't sound very smart."
