Chapter 1 - The Discovery

"Alright, alright. I don't know what it is but take it easy, Rob." He whispered to himself.

Robin Adams, a 24-year-old man was about to experience the most unexpected event in his life. He hoped that he could rest for the night but then, something woke him up. A bright, white light appeared in front of Robin. It was 12 a.m and he tried to keep himself as quiet as possible.

"What's happening?" He whispered loudly as he felt like falling from the sky, closing his eyes tightly.

He didn't know what would happen to him seconds later. As for now, he could just pray nothing bad would happen at the time he saw the light. As soon as he felt that he was not falling anymore, he opened his eyes slowly.

He looked around in curiosity, wondering where he was. He was laying down on a huge, luxury bed. Not to mention that the room is a size of his own house alone. He quickly sat up as he heard an unfamiliar voice coming from beside the bed.

"Good morning, Mr. Adams. I'm Joe Smith, your assistant. I've already prepared your breakfast. I hope you'll eat before the food gets cold." The voice came from the tall, slim man with a blonde hair and glasses. He nodded his head a bit to show respect. "Is there anything else I can do for now, sir?"

Robin stared at the man and blinked his eyes a hundred times. What is happening?, he thought to himself. He wondered why he was treated as if he was a billionaire or something.

"Excuse me, I think I'm at the wrong place. Besides, isn't it 12 in the morning?" Robin said as he looked around again to find the clock.

"No, sir. It's 7:30 in the morning. In fact, this majestic house is your place. Your company has sent me to assist you as well as become your manager to help you through missions. You're the top agent in the company, after all, sir." Joe told Robin with a convincing tone.

"An agent? I'm an agent? Like a spy? I bought this house? I don't have money, this house costs a million or something!" Robin said, surprised to what the other man said.

"You are an agent, sir. The top agent like I said. I'm sorry, sir, I don't mean to rush you but if you don't eat your breakfast now, it will get cold." Joe said politely, bowing his head a bit as he was speaking to him.

"Alright. I'll take a shower first and will be there any time soon. Thank you so much, by the way." Robin replied as he got off the bed.

"My pleasure, sir. Take your time as I'll be waiting for you in the dining hall." The assistant said as he walked out of the room.

Robin still couldn't believe his eyes. He kept looking around and explored some things around the room. The room was too big that it could fit another ten beds.

He walked around to look outside of the window. There was a fountain and also, a garden with so many kinds of flowers. It seemed like a backyard. Such a beautiful view. After seconds later, Robin realized that his assistant was waiting for him to have breakfast.

Robin quickly rushed himself to the dining hall after taking a shower. But before that, he managed to find a mirror. He saw a man with brown hair, slicked back and a pair of green eyes. A man who was just working as a data entry clerk his whole life. An agent? Who was he kidding? He decided to shrug it off as he knew he'd get an explanation later.

"There you are, sir." Joe started to talk as Robin entered the dining hall. "Do you feel refreshed after the shower?"

"I feel pretty good. And wow, this dining hall is huge!" Robin gasped as he took a look around.

"Indeed it is, sir. Now, enjoy your meal." Joe pulled a chair for Robin and Robin sat down.

"You know you don't have to do everything for me. I don't even know why I have an assistant, Joe." Robin said, looking at Joe. "Have you eaten?"

"Sir, have your meal first and I'll let you know about everything later. I'm sure you also don't want to keep Mr. Gerald waiting." Joe stated as he stood beside Robin. "Yes, I have, sir. I don't think I should be sitting and eating together with you."

"Mr. Gerald?" Robin asked before starting to eat his breakfast. "Hey, no, it's fine. Come, sit down. I'm totally fine with it!"

"He's your boss, sir. He said he'll have a word with you later at 10." Robin nodded. "Thank you, sir." Joe sat down on one of the chairs.

"Well, I'm just too hungry to ask more questions." He said as he finished his food, chuckling.
