"Rest assured, Mr. Albert, we will protect your safety," Police Chief Charles's hand rested on Albert's shoulder, his steady voice soothing him as he trembled all over.
"I... I understand," Albert's body was still stiff, he forced a dry smile, then glanced at the dozen burly men around him with broad, rugged faces, and wiped the sweat from his forehead, "Police Chief Charles, your men..."
"What about them?" Charles turned to look at the officers.
Each officer was fully armed, staring fixedly towards the door, unblinkingly focused and utterly still.
