The shield's new upgrade was already quite fantastic, to be honest. All of the old abilities got upgraded and they gave me quite a lot of bonuses. What I liked the most however were the upgrades to the damage reduction abilities, which now reduced three times as much damage as before.
The VIT and RES bonuses were also quite good; by merely holding the shield I could feel my body become somewhat tougher and heavier? I don't know how to explain it, but I did feel stronger. Also gaining magic resistance doesn't feel any different than before though, so I can't explain about it that much…
But stat boosts and damage reduction aside, there were three abilities that got new upgrades, changing how they worked almost entirely.
