Once I felt the presence of Hephaestus disappear, I saw that the shield was mostly done by now.
"It's done now, master. Your shield."
Ignis grabbed it after burning it through his flames and then washing it inside the alchemy cauldron, the liquified mana gave the shield the last touch, combining the materials and refining them to their maximum quality and magical power.
FLAAAASH!
And as he presented the shield to me, it released a bright rainbow light, almost blinding to the eyes! I slowly grabbed the shield, feeling it was now at least four times as heavy as before… No, perhaps even more? Well thankfully I was very physically strong now, so holding this wasn't that big of a deal.
It looked beautiful though, shining with gold and rainbow light, the shield looked almost entirely made of big, sharp draconic scales aligned together, but it had many small decorations I had left there, alongside a small draconic head made of the same metal, with rainbow jewels for eyes.
