The heaviness in my heart from Atlas’s words seem to knock the breath right out of me. Over the years there have been things that have happened around me that make me question reality. From the way Elenon acts, to how Finn seems to become angrier with every year that passes. Even with Faeryn. He was the pride and joy of her father’s eyes until the past year when he decided that she had to marry.
She didn’t even understand why he had such a sudden change of heart. He used to talk about her getting married one day, but then it was like he had to rush everything. And when she tried to talk to him, she said he acted more like a king and less like her father, which is completely out of character for him. At least, when it comes to her.
I mean even when she tried to talk to her mother, she wouldn’t help her. Simply telling her that these are the ways of the Fae and that she should be happy to take her place.
All of which is completely ridiculous.
